I am having a hard time sleeping

I seem to need less hours of sleep. My husband is like, are you tired and I repy with, not really. lol We both tried to go to sleep around like 9pmish last night and I was up, and he was like sleeping for two hours. He woke up and then when I tried to go to sleep I couldn't. He tried to go back to sleep He could not so we watched the office sitcom. We were up until 5amish. It was pretty bad I told him wake me up at 9am. He gave me a cup of coffee right away when he kissed me good morning. I got out of bed with no problem. :D

So I am guessing if I were to sleep on a schedule meaning waking up at the same time every morning I will fall asleep better. I am so bad at schedule. So now I have to try real hard to make a sleep schedule.

I refuse to use sleeping aides. I just do not want them. I know I can sleep good. I just need to set my body to the schedule.

Sharla, what helps me get on a sleep schedule is staying active during the day which wears me out. My sleep pattern is very irratic. About every other day I seem to have energy for different reasons and every other day I can't get moving.

I think that sounds like a good plan!

Dear Sharla,
Sometimes sleep meds help for a week or so to get someone back on track.

i use bendryl as a sleep aide. It works pretty good. Today I have to stay in the house because my foot hurts. It hurts for no reason. I just woke up like this. I woke up really tired today because my husband woke me up at 10am. That is early for me. I need a job. I am making a resume today. I hope my foot gets better.

I hope your foot gets better and good luck on the resume.

Sharla,

I hope your foot feels better soon. What template do you plan to use as a resume? I'm just curious. I used the functional one.

Thanks you everyone I feel way better than this morning. But now I have a headache and my jaw hurts. LOL Aches and pains every where for no reason. How silly is this...sheesh. I am done with the resume and my husband who is a tough critic was very impressed and saw how hard I worked on my resume. He says I did an excellent job and nothing needs to be fixed. He was impressed with the template. I found a daycare template. You can find sample resumes on the web. That is how I did mine. I looked at others and did my according to that template.

I really pray and hope I get that daycare job:hug: Lord please bless me with a daycare job.

I would like to get working again.

gosh aches and pains? headache? oh dear i hope you are not coming down with something!!! i would think of allergies first, but since you took a benadryl that would have taken care of that. but maybe it is just the changes in atmospheric pressure you know, with the season change? i hope it is that - it should settle down soon. also make sure to keep warm enough. it is easy to catch a draft in spring ... seems all warm and stuff but there are hints of cooler air still running around... :D:rolleyes: ... and make us all stiff and achey and stuff.

great job finishing up your resume!!! i am wishing you the bestest luck getting into a daycare job! :):):)

LOL I hope I am not coming down with something too. I had some ocean spray cranberry juice. But it has to be the no sugar added one. The natural ocean spray cranberry juice. That stuff is like a miracle potion! your body is like OH YEAH! when ever I have a cup. I drink it and went to bed. I watched the muppet show, laughed and went to sleep. I fell asleep I think around like 3am and woke up 9:30am. I hope to continue this pattern so that way my body gets tired easier earlier.

:hug::hug::hug:
I still hope I get the daycare job.

bizi 03-18-2010 09:41 AM

I hope you get the daycare job too.
sending good thoughts your way.
Love cranberry juice, the lite one too!

I fall asleep around 3amish everyday. That is pretty bad. I use the bendryl and it fails. I am just up and awake but I feel restless but I cannot sleep. So I will try and work harder on sleeping earlier. I am waking up early enough so why am I up all night long? I do not nap either. hmmmmm except for yesterday because my head hurted so bad. I had some very bad pressure of the sinus. Today I have a very mild nose bleed so that concludes it is allergies.

My head is hurting again. Dumb seasons changes so fast. lol

You all have a good day. I have work to do.

I am sorry that you are not feeling well.:(
how this passes soon.

sometimes benadryl has the exact opposite effect on people...can wire you up instead of make you sleepy.

I was wondering if benadryl had that effect because one day I used it and I had the worst panick attack I have ever felt and I was extremely wired. It was not fun when I was trying to get myself to bed.
But that was only once.
I hope it never happens again.

I am sleeping better now that I have myself waking up before noon lol:D

Thanks Bizi

I had one of those 5 hour energy drinks, because I thought that I needed it for a long drive. Well I had this panicky feeling soon after I took it. I guess that most anything will have different affects on people.

I'm sorry that you had a bad reaction to benadryl. I've taken it before, and it made me feel spacey. It could have been because I was on a prescription medicine to, for my anxiety.

a long time ago I took a sports drink with gensing in it...
I almost immediately felt like I was hallucinating,...
I can't do gensing!

Night sleeps are improving. I have been going to bed at 2am instead of 3am. I am also avoiding video games before bed time.

Goal tonight is to sleep at 1amish.

I hope I can do it.

Sharla
Thanks Mari

You are brave for trying out the 5 hour energy. I am too scared to do energy drinks or even gengsing. I am sorry that did not work out for you. Usually it works great for my friends. But they tend to down them for fun. Sigh.... Coffee I have been fine so far. But lately it has been making me so sleeepy. So I drink some juice that is tangy and it helps me stay up. ocean spray kind.
I had a cat nap a 1pmish today and I had nothing but REM's. I like it when I slip in and out of dreams. lol It is kind of fun.

Wow, that sounds like a scary experience. So you felt like you are halucinating? That can never be a good thing or feeling. I was told that gensing has to be used a certain way.
My friend who is south korean told me that people usually use gensing when they are sick with the cold. So when you feel the rush of sweat and panic go through you, it helps you sweat it all out and it sucks because sometimes you feel all shaky. I told him I would rather sleep all day if I was sick. I would not like that feeling at all.

It sounds like he did not like it either but he said he healed faster that way.

*shrugs shoulders*
