Now We need to come up with a name for you PNS Cheryl
dose any one have suggestions???
I call my PNS/ Neuro Stim "T-Rex " as it is prehistoric and old... like a dinosaur but it real kicks some butt on the horrible A.D.pain and what better to take on the Pain Monster then a T-Rex dinosaur .lol
So names names we need some names to pass the time of waiting and distract from the burning pain....

we need some input from others..any one have a name to share???????????

I did post to Mark on his thread..Rocky, Buzz and Sonic
but I am thinking he would probably want a girl name since the power supply will be in his butt. lol Peter would just be wrong lol.

Cheryl I am thinking of you today as your apt with Dentist will happen.I see mine at the start of July. and gosh I have NOT gone in almost 2 years. I dislike going as much as you do.. may your visit be painless and calm with no stress .
oh ya know if you get your Final date in July well that is when I had my Neuro stim implant..July there is allot of things we have in common..We Are Sisters eh?? I hope your date is announced and known next week!!

So now it is Monday and a day closer to well maybe some one has passed along those papers and the date is going to be given to you Wednesday or Thursday. Maybe Rrae better look in her left pocket again.

I hope your comes sooner then the end of July but I would rather have this surgery in warm weather . I think having it in winter well more people sick with flu and colds and in the hosp so maybe more chance for infection .

It has just taken me SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG to find a place that would let me have the info about Neuro stim as option let me have it up top. THANK YOU Neuro Talk (Chemar & Doc John).
For years on other web sites I have posted and others posted under me sharing their PNS/ Neuro Stim journey but soon the thread would get lower and lower on the page and then puff its back 2 ,3 ,5 pages and then it is gone. some places wouldn't even let my post stay on the forum :rolleyes: cus they are more for Motor Cortex .
So at last I have it up top it wont get shoved down lower and lower. it wont get lost. it is a place others can share their story and info.
Most important others will be able to find the info easy and it is in one place. I do want the side chat and casual conversations down here. cus it has taken along time to get info , make friends and contacts and I want the important info easy to find cus thats what a stickie up top is for :) ..I dont want to lose that privilege cant lose the stickie and all the precious info.
no biggie I didnt intend to sound mad or like I was yelling.

So fun finding a name. I bet no one really knows cept for us how fun this really is. but really when you have this thing implanted inside and wires going here and there and a battery it really is like a new addition.

Got The Date
 

Hi Everyone.
Well, finally I got the date. I was excited; but a little disappointed as I wanted it sooner. He could have done it on July 15th; but he is going on vacation on the 20th and did not feel comfortable doing the surgery and then him being gone and would not be able to help me. He said that I will with out a doubt need his help afterwards. I guess I really admire him for thinking about being here for me and not wanting it sooner. He seems to be so kind and caring. So, I will be happy about the wait. Looks like my summer will really be lost with the wait and the pain that comes with it and then the recovery afterwards. September is always nice in Denver, so will look forward to that. Hey Tina, I told you wrong...it is the 5th; but that is a Thursday.
After reading the name suggestions you gave me, I think I like St. Felix. He was put on fire ( like me ) on a gridiron, and then they took his head off. Sometimes that seems like a good idea. I am not real fond of cats as I think they are mean, so this would be perfect. I will just tell that mean cat to attack the pain with his ugly big claws. I bet you he could even have a pretty good fight with T-REX. Cats can be sneaky.

For those of you that are not up to date on my pain levels.....I almost went to the er 3 nights ago. The pain way the worst. The next day was horrible. I remembered the Valium idea from another member and tried it. I took 20 mg and my pain within 10 minutes went for a 10+ to about a 5. I did the same today. Oh my, what a difference. It gave me energy and I even found myself laughing ( which as not been around for a long time ). So Praise God, I am almost there.

So for now, I am going to watch some tv. Been in the yard all day. I will be writing another poem when it hits me.

Our gentle and protective momma T-Rex has shared with us the wonder and excitement of TREMENDOUS news that St. Felix is about to make the acquaintance of our precious friend, Cheryl, soon on the 5th of August!!:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

NOW, we have an ongoing need to pray Cheryl aka Calewark through this interim..... it will have its difficult times like the last couple of days have been for Cheryl. You are ever in the prayers of my family, Cheryl. May He keep you safe.

I give the peace sign to my fellow drivers, the girls at work my boss... and have gifties with peace signs on them.. coffee cups , neck laces earrings.... and a shirt now :D My best dear friend gave me a big stained glass peace sign that I sometimes wear as a necklace..oh and I made some stepping stones with peace signs on them.
I draw peace signs on the inside of glass doors on the frozen food things at the food store , on frosty glasses that others or I am drinking out of ... on friends dusty car windows and house windows ... in the sand ,on walls of elevators , in the ladies room stalls.... on my sneakers, my clip board..every check off sheet I do at work....I just sent my friend Doody a card with colorful peace signs in it cus she love them too.
If you know me then you know I do peace signs EVERYWHERE I LOVE PEACE SIGNS!!!!!!!!!

Cheryl . I am praying you get your block again by wen or Thur the latest . I know from our talking the pain is horrid and it is wearing you out. Just hold in there for a bit longer and grab on to the knowing of how much the trial helped combat the pain.

Stopped in to say hi and good night. It has been a painful day and going getting worse. I have taken all the meds that I am allowed to take and a couple more and still want to climb under my bed and not come out until Aug.5th. But.....I will and try and start tomorrow off better than today.

It is 3 am in the morning and the pain now has me up and searching through my medication bag to see what I have not taken tonight for pain. So, i thought I will try an " off the top of my head" poem/
letter to entertain myself.

Doc called and gave me your "big day" date
I was excited, where you?
Aren't you tired for that cold shelf in the warehouse?

I have a name for you, did they tell you?

I would like to come visit you before the big day
I am afraid that I will not be able to see you at all

And you will be awake while the rep turns you on and off

This Monday you will get the block and I pray it helps huge to knock out down most of the pain that chewing on you.

Hi Cheryl- Right now I am sending prayers for you that today will be more tolerable and that the nerve block you receive tomorrow will provide enough relief to get you to your Implant Date! Your Date is coming! Soon, you will have the relief BMW knows so well, and here is both hope and prayer that you will restfully approach the time of your implant such that your body will be fully ready for the procedure and that it will be completely successful for you!!
