Just needed to talk...

Hi my sweet friends....

This time Im not angry, not suicidal... not sad ! :D Im just weird... I think Im hypomaniac or very close to be... ;)

Does it sound very weird if I tell you I feel like having 2 souls right one ?? One is making me cry and the other one is making me feel excited...

Some months ago I was going on a trip to see a concert... Maybe you remember that's one of the very few things I still like to do... :o But it was cancelled and I had that airplane ticket opened... I lost money but whatever, Im using that airplane ticket to go to Texas (Dallas, Austin and Houston) next week... Leaving Saturday, coming back home Thursday... Im going to see 4 concerts.... If God helps me...

I feel freaked out... First... because they cancelled me twice THAT concert, so, I dont know... I think they left me some panic you know ??
Also, I feel nostalgic... I feel sad because I always travel alone and that's just a reminder of my daily solitude... :o
I feel nervous because I HATE the process of travelling... I HATE hotels checkings in etc... :(
And also, Im feeling excited because I want to see my band you know ??

So ! I think my body cant handle all these feelings together... :p

Anyway... I needed to talk, PLUS, Im feeling weird, PLUS you are like my family and I needed to let you know Im going to this adventure... :)

Thank you for reading !!!

P.S Im going to post this at the bipolar forum too, so, please forgive me if you like me, visit both forums and find this thread twice :o

I'm glad to hear that you still have some things to be interested in. And I don't know how to cure feeling "weird" but hopefully you can appreciate it for being better then "sad."

I hope you have a fun and exciting adventure!

Addy 01-18-2011 10:34 AM

Good morning :Mexican:...

I wish I had the secret cure.... says me who just had a sleepless night... and a bit of a down/lazy/unproductive week ... full of familiar feelings that I still haven't learned to deal with.

If I could be honest with both myself and you - I think that talking about it is a good thing... and perhaps not just talking to friends... but maybe reaching out to a medical professional/therapist... who could help us deal with these feelings that take over our lives.

I know it is easier said than done... and like always, I don't reach out for the help.... instead, I muddle through it... just as you are... I do what I have to do... and miraculously, I get through it.... just as you are.

I think you're recognizing a pattern... and you've got to learn a way to break that pattern. (Easy for me to say... ha ha... when I can't always do it.... !)
But I always say... recognition is half the battle!
The next part of the battle is convincing yourself how exciting it is for you to go on another adventure!

So what.. you're going alone... how lucky are you to be going....!! that is where the focus should be...
make this an adventure... try to think differently....
applaud yourself for doing this alone...
do you have any idea how many people wish they could do this... but can't...

remind yourself how lucky you are my friend....

and now... I'm heading out the door for a job interview... wish me luck and I'll report back later..

 keep talking...

BlueMajo 01-18-2011 01:12 PM

ADDY: First of all, GOOD LUCK in your interview !! Let us know how it went... I'll be thinking about you

And now, sweet and dearest friends, thank you so much for commenting my thread and for encouraging me... I hate the fact that I seem to cant enjoy what I do because I always feel exitement but, + fear, nervous, etc... feelings that seem to "beat" the excitement !

Reading your posts give me courage and peace... so, thank you so much !!!

          to everyone !

Hey Blue...

How exciting!!!! :trampoline:

Nothing like seeing your favorite band once but FOUR times!!!
I wish I could see my favorite band just once!!!

Please don't let your fears over ride your excitement!
You are going to have a good time!!!

Try to make a couple of new friends! Just say Hi, I'm ... but my friends call me Blue and you are?

Strike up a conversation from there.. find out what their favorite song is... their favorite band member... where they are from... how far they have ever traveled to see the band...

I'm guessing you will walk away with a friend or two.

Just remember you are there to have fun!!!!

Great advice everyone!

I enjoy watching people when I'm in crowds... and I also enjoy striking up a conversation... I learn so much about people ... how different we all are, etc...

and about me... arrrgh... I drove for over an hour in the rush for the most unprofessional weird interview... I think it was a waste of time...

so... I'll just chalk it up to another of life's experiences...

And maybe I'll write a book one day.... lol... about how weird life is...

Addy

I've had interviews like that where you walk away just scratching your head. One time the interviewer spent the whole time telling me that it was a "family" business and singing the praises of all the family members. That was at least 20 years ago and I still don't get it. They picked the wrong guy to interview people!

BlueMajo 01-18-2011 08:55 PM

Aw

Thank you for the wise advices !!! I will arrive by myself but, might leave with a couple of new friends :) Dont know... it is difficult for me to start a conversation... specially in english :o But oh well... hopefully there will be friendly people around me...

By the way... anybody from Texas ? How's the weather right now ? I now my hair will be curly !! :D

Addy ! haha, interviews... good Lord... some are weird, but most of them are WEIRD. Just remember God has the best plan for us, so, who knows, just close that weird experience and hope for a great one soon :)

Much love !

Introduce them

I could be wildly crazy, but I wonder if Blue Majo introduces her two souls, maybe they will hit it off and cause less stress.

I think we all have a duality or plural to our personalities. I have my positive risk taking side and my negative worry wart side. I too had times I felt weird. To be honest feeling weird can be a tough row to hoe. I also had people around me acting like I was weird. This can lead to isolating oneself. I was happier as a hermit, possibly because acquaintances usually let me down. A small handful of friends who accept you like you are are golden. Be sure to latch on when you find that. Life is easier when you can be yourselves.

The weather in Houston has been cold sweater and jacket weather. Austin will be a little colder and Dallas colder still. Could warm up though so layer up so you can peel down. Houston can be rainy at short notice so bring an umbrella. Have a wonderful time. If you have trouble with English I would try to read it in my rusty old Spanish.

Deja Vu

Addy I have been on weird interviews. One time I waited an hour and the contact never showed up or rescheduled. Another time it was an interview to participate in a pyramid scheme. Once I went for an interview that doubled as job training and it lasted 40 hours a week, with unsuitable applicants culled out daily. Still I would have loved to get a job offer on 2 out of 3 of the jobs. If you like the job itself I hope you get it.

BlueMajo 01-18-2011 10:08 PM

Aw Tied !!!

Thank you SO MUCH for your beautiful posts... :) And for helping me with the weather !!!

You understood me perfectly and described how I feel exactly ! :)

Aw, thank you !!!
