Anyone heard of this one?

Hello all! Just got back from the hospital where they did my labs........my hands and feet are peeling really badly and have had NO energy for the last couple of days....long story short -my neuro thinks I'm sufferig from an allergic reaction to my IMURAN!

WTH? So, I have to go to the hospital IMMEDIATELY for a STAT blood draw and am waiting for the results...............:(

Came home to a hurt animal and a rude 17 yr old.....could just SCREAM!

The only positive out of today is that I may start Cellcept again - I've kept all of my old cellcept from b/4:D

Hopefully you are all happy and STRONG!

Big hugs!
Erin:D

 ERIN  I hope you start feeling better soon. As for an allergic reaction, sounds possible to me, I was never allergic to anything until after I started treatment for MG and now I can hardly take anything :( You are in my thoughts.

Erin,
Sorry that things are happening to you. You are in my prayers. I was on Immuran first and had bad side effects from it and had to go on CellCept. I took Immuran for 4 months but could not tolerate the side effects. CellCept has been better to me with less side effects. I hope the reaction, if that is what is happening, goes away quickly for you. Take care and stay in touch. On an up note, CellCept is now generic!!!!
Big Hugs to you,
Simon

Erin,
Dang girl! We're not allowing any more problems for you, ok? Hopefully the cellcept will help you to remission and you can be done with this stuff!!!

I still am trying to decide which to take Imuran or Cellcept. Erin how long had you been on Imuran?

erinhermes 06-26-2009 02:58 PM

Hi Tbarney!

Hi Tbarney!I've been on Imuran for about 5 months now - don't understand why I'm having a reaction now! My blood work was fine, so I'm no longer scared about that!:D

Cellcept was great! The only thing I didn't like about it was how much it costs! I was even actually able to go down to 15 mgs of pred while I was on it!

How are you feeling today? Are you feeling better?

Big hugs!
Erin:hug::hug::hug:

Awwww Erin.....I am sorry you are having so many difficulties. Once you start becoming allergic to meds it seems to keep happening. So be careful now. I really hope you feel better soon. Allergic reactions seem to take a lot outta me. Take care and better luck with the Cellcept right? I will keep my fingers crossed for ya.

Is there any chance you could have been exposed to strep, and missed it?

Hi there!

Hello and welcome! What wonderful advice! I'm going to see my neuro next week for another follow up - I'll ask him to give me the test!

Thank you!

Reaction

Erin, what you describe is more likely a reaction to the IVIG than anything else. IT is a common reaction to it. Do read up and see what ya think. PRaying you get betta soon.
