Pete's Pond

For those of you who are animal and/or nature lovers, National Geographic has a web cam at Pete's Pond in Botswana that I love to watch. It is back up again, after being down during the rainy season.

I watch it a couple of times a day. Give it a try, and let me know what you see.

Thanks for the site. I love to watch web cams of nature sites. Plus a huge bonus! I haven't been able to watch my videos of Pirate Master and didn't know why. Well when I clicked onto your web link, it told me I had to have Real Player. I thought I did. Well I installed it and I can get Pirate Master now!!!!!!! So I doubly, is that a word, thank you!

Wow! That is sooooo cool! I watched it for awhile in dark and there was something going on in the water, but the camera was just above it, so I kept trying to raise my head to look down there! Duh! LOL.

Then, I watched it at 2:00am EST to see what was up in daylight and the noises blew me away, a big ole bunch of catterwalling. It's so cool, I saw a huge mammel go by in a corner and I'm not sure what it was, it had legs of a runner, not any kind of cat though. I love being on voyeur's safari!

Thanks!

Cindy, I keep a list of animals I see at the pond. Last year, when it was nighttime there, I saw a female lion. This morning, there was a croc sunning itself on the bank.

I hope you see something really cool.
