I Got a Job!!!
 

Hi everyone,

I'm going back into the workforce, i got a job at Gymboree it's only part-time and i'm terrified.

I had to give up daycare because the parent's hours were drastically cut and it wasn't worth it.

My 15 yr old made more money on his part-time job as a bus-boy than i did with daycare.

The manager has a child with A.D.D so we at least have being parents of a special needs child in common.

It's a nice small group of women, we're all moms so that will be nice.

I really couldn't see myself working in retail for a "boss" who is 20 yrs old.

I have another job interview on Tuesday evening at Bath and Body Works, so i really hope i get that one.

So between the two i'm hoping to get 30 hours.

It's strange I was terrified of going back to work , what with having a child with ASD is so hard but not having money is harder... it's taken me a long time to get "ready" in my head for this but i'm excited and nervous.

Keep us posted on how you like working at Gymboree. I had a friend years ago who worked there. She liked it. I hope you do, too! :)

How have you been lately? I've been away for awhile been busy with Haylee etc.

Haylee's doing great, she's in 4th grade this year.
She's in a learning centre in the morning for life skills and math, there are 7 kids in total so it's great then she's mainstreamed in the afternoon.

She seems to be doing good always happy no big complaints... so far..

I think it will be an adjustment for her when i go back to work.

I'm hoping that i can get a couple of day shifts from 9:30 - 2:00 that way i can pick her up at school then i can spend more time with her.

Congrats on job one and good luck on job two! :cool: I was thinking I had not seen you post lately. That's also great news about Haylee!
