Congrats on quitting the smoking! You deserve a pat on the back. If you can quit smoking, the weight will be a cake walk...oops...I mean, you will eventually lose it....the weight that is.:o

This is wonderful the smoking cessation working!

Everyone seems to gain some weight. But that can be dealt with when you have the energy to do so. Saving your lungs, so you can live and breathe is so much more a priority now.

Just take it one day at a time. One thing you can do is reduce your portion sizes by 10% each week until you get to about 70% of what you ate before. That way you are not really dieting, or missing favorite things. Drink more water, to fill you up etc.
Then it won't seem so difficult.

Great to hear! keep you around for a few extra years.
the respiratory/PN thing is a one two punch. everytime i get up to walking regularly something goes awry with either bronchitis/asthma or PN. Keep up the good work! Think of how much money you are saving that you can use for trips. Its up to over $10 a pack here now.

That's an awesome accomplishment.Been there. You rock

Jack Lalanne used to say "Exercise is king. Diet is queen" He was wrong and there ain't much he is wrong about on fitness. It's just the opposite. Diet is king.

I been working around the PN busting my *** off for 4 months. Lost maybe a few pounds. A net pal sent me a vid recently of a guy eating pizza and drinking soda while another guy ran on a treadmill at 11 mph, which is fast

The pizza guy ate about 1100 calories, 2 slices and a coke or so in the same time the runner burned 31 calories. MORAL? You can't outwork a bad diet

Your doing great. Hope this helps

Congrats! That's wonderful. I too had a terrible time trying to lose weight. That was until I tried the candida diet, no sugar or sweeteners other than stevia, no processed foods. I lost 94# this year. I do walk though and I am sure that has helped.

Good luck!!!
