Started my new job today!

I landed a p/t job as radiology receptionist at the local hospital.

There were 40 applicants, so I'm feeling pretty darned good about getting it. It helped that I've done the same thing back in the 90's at another hosp.

Whew! I'm worn out. Not because the job is so difficult, but training for something new is so demanding on your brain cells, lol! Esp. when they're OLD brain cells! :D

But its going to be good once I learn the ropes. If I can keep myself from answering the phone "Justice Court...this is Rochelle". I've done that for 8+ years and you know what they say about old habits...or is it old DOGS?

Anyway, just had to share. BTW, made DH take me out for dinner to celebrate (actually it was just an excuse NOT to cook, lol!)

Oh, and I'm still working p/t at the Justice Court, at least for now. Not sure I want to continue to work 5 days per week. That cuts into my grandkid time!!!

I actually feel very jealous of your abilities. Even though I don't want to work, anymore, I WISH I COULD!:D

Congrats and good wishes.

Sally, I feel the same way. :( I miss working but know enough to realize I could never do it again.

I hope you enjoy it, Rochelle. They're fortunate to have you there. :)

You so rock!

Twink that is wonderful! You go girl! :) You must still have all your brain cells or you would not be holding down TWO PT jobs. That is amazing. I hope both of the jobs are near you so you don't have to travel.
Congratulations.

Thank you, kind friends. :grouphug:

Its been years since I've worked 8-hour days, so that will take some getting used to.

I keep thinking "I'm rich -- I should go shopping!" :Dancing-Chilli:

Then I have to remind myself, "You took this job so you could pay off your Visa card ... don't get carried away!" :Bang-Head:

Do any of you have experience with taking NuVigil? The neuro Rxd that a couple of weeks ago. I've taken it a few times, but it doesn't always let me get a good night's sleep. Is it something your body adjusts to?

Twink, it is the same as Provigil, I think. Some people have to take it very early in the am when they wake, to go to work. And not after the noon hour.

I took 100 mg in the am, and 100 mg around 12 noon, and then 100 mg at 2pm. I took Provigil, 300 mg is tops. They say 400 is okay but no more benefit than the total of 300 mg. When it stopped working I stopped it on the weekends and took it on Monday again.

I think I could take it at dinner and still konk out after an 8 hour work day and drive to and from work.

I think Nuvigil is the same dosing. If you find it too strong, maybe you don't need it? Or cut it in half or a quarter.

Better yet, call the prescribing doctor and explain.
