Let's share painful areas today!

Let's share our painful areas for today 7/26...I'll go first...
I am having skin pain and burning on my thigh where my MRSA was (the reason why I have RSD) and deep bone pain in my left thigh...

Anyone else want to share?

I have RSD and pain caused by RSD in my left knee/leg. I also have Central Pain Syndrome in the same areas because of my RSD.

So sorry Kitty....I see you just joined us last month. I have had RSD/CRPS for 3 years now without much success of treatment. I was born with Cerebral Palsy, so having a dual diagnosis is troubling to say the least. I am just now learning how to live with RSD. I found that if I fought or stressed about it, it was just getting worse.

You will find the sweetest people EVER on this board and if I hadn't found this board, I don't know where I'd be...good luck and we are always here for you :grouphug:

My RSD pain has spread as of today from my shoulder, down to my left hand, up to my neck, and down my spine across my lower back. Varying areas of pain from stinging hot needles to deep bone pain.

Oh RSD, you suck. :)

Thank you so much, Cindi! Your kind words really touched my heart!

My RSD, which was causing SMP (Sympathetically Maintained Pain) is now causing SIP (Sympathetically Independent Pain). This is the reason why my anesthesiologist said my pain had "centralized". According to him, I now also have Central Pain Syndrome! One more chronic pain condition to deal with, added to my RSD, osteoarthritis, etc.

I hope your RSD pain will never centralize! It is already not fun having RSD and its pain in an extremity; if the pain has to be in the spinal cord, in the brainstem, and in the brain because the pain became centralized, it is worse because, from there, it could spread anywhere in the body! My anesthesiologist finally admitted the truth to me because I prefer the truth, even if it is bad, than lies or hidden truths!

Thanks again for your kindness, Cindi! You made my day! :grouphug:

You are very welcome! I love it here..it's the only place that understands me. My RSD has spread to my right arm and now into my right leg. My first neurologist told me never go looking on the internet about RSD or it will get worse...it was worse before I even saw him or got on the web to look for anything.I was having crazy symptoms and if I hadn't found this board, I'd be in the loony bin with depression or worse! I love everyone here and if you haven't been greeted by our sweet Ali you soon will be. She is our little ray of sunshine from the UK and has helped me so, so much. I haven't seen her a lot lately so she must be in a bad way. You will get to know these great people as time goes on...Mike,Pete, Jim, Sandy, Loretta, Peppermint Patty, ect.... they certainly know their way around this crazy RSD ( I didn't mean to leave anyone out, so please add yourselves!!!):grouphug:

Oh BTW, it's been raining here off and on all night, so I have the wonderful "entire leg" thing going all...all the way to my toes! I am getting ready to start a video blog or Vlog and make daily entries to show people how crazy this whole thing is...I'll let everyone know when it's up:)

A video blog would be great for people to actually witness what RSD can do to destroy you. I have started a blog to help educate, and a place to express myself, and it's been amazing. It has helped to educate our family members and friends in a way that we could never explain. I try to post daily. My husband recently said I was sounding too positive :) That I wasn't getting the point across what the true nature of the beast does to us. I hope to post tomorrow, for him, and describe a day in the life of RSD.
My doctor didn't believe in the spread, and as mine had developed after a shoulder surgery I was CONVINCED that it would never leave the shoulder. I did make the choice to have a SCS implanted which seems to be what caused the RSD to move to other areas more related to my spinal cord. Sometimes you just can win with RSD.
