New Member: 3 level ACDF scheduled for December 9
Hello,
I had a car accident on 8/19/2010. Went to pain management who ordred MRI and referred me to a neurosurgeon after seeing results. Neurosurgeon recommending three level ACDF due to spinal cord impingement. I tingling and numbness in my arms and my hands go cold sometimes. I am scared witless but my family is urging me to stabilize my neck and have the surgery. Here to find support and answers as to what I can expect. |

Re: you accident
So sorry you had the accident. I understand about the pain from this. I hope you have had several opinions with neuro surgeons and your pain doctor, before going into surgery. I had three opinions and looked up my doctors references before I had my spinal fusion C3-7. Of course if your spinal cord is compressed, there is sometimes no choice in the matter. There will be plenty of support for you in which ever way you have to decide. I wish you all the best, and that your outcome gives you the relief you need. ginnie
