exercise help
Mate of mine is 4 months in his pcs. He is still suffering from low scale headeches, neck pain and anxity.
Yesterday he started doing some light exercise in his garage. He said he is going to be hitting his punching bag for 15mins every day. Is there any chance he can get another concussion or aggravate his symptoms by hitting punching bag. Cause of the strike force when you hit bag. I'm just bit worried and wanna tell him the right answere. Thanks |
I would not recommend the punching bag exercise. As you said, the impact forces can impact his head. The term is sub-concussive impacts. Cumulatively, they can be worse that a direct head impact.

Sounds logical to me too.
Slow & smooth activities would be better I think. |

I would definitely pass on the punching bag practice. He could consider resuming this activity *slowly* and carefully once his symptoms are completely resolved. Lots of people on this site wish they hadn't overdone it early in their recoveries - your SO has the opportunity to learn from their experience and have a better recovery as a result.
