Question
Hello everyone. I was just curious if anyone has ever experienced problems with the first three fingers related to TOS. I know problems with the pinky and ring fingers are common. Thanks.

Trigger points and muscle tension can affect the nerves quite a bit, if those are present try some various therapies to resolve those before looking deeper into any kind of surgical option..
TrP info- sticky thread http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread125577.html I'd hate for to to have a surgery and then find it was not the fix. Unless the dr can show & prove that surgery is required of course.. There is also double & triple "crush" syndromes where you have TOS and carpal or cubital tunnel or all 3.. |
Forgot I had saved a web article that goes into great detail about TOS.
From the article: Symptoms’ location most frequently reported in patients with TOS include paresthesia in the upper limb (98%), neck pain (88%), trapezius pain (92%), shoulder and/or arm pain (88%), supraclavicular pain (76%), chest pain (72%), occipital headache (76%), and parasthesias in all five fingers (58%), the fourth and fifth fingers only (26%) or the first–third fingers (14%). |
It uses a lot of medical terms that not everyone will understand, but if you want to read the whole thing:

To this day I have the same sx, but the pain in outside hand and last fingers is worse. I'm slowly increasing dose of neurotin 2x day for past 2mos. Getting little relief at nite, but using kindle seems to make it worse. There's some really good websites u can find on this forum for tos sx |
