Chat Room for the Brain Boo Boo Crowd?

Would anyone be up for a TBI Chat Room? It would allow us to "talk" to each other in real time. I think it might be great for those times when the TBI is really making you feel alone and misunderstood in the "normal" world.

I think I figured out how to set one up. (I'm so proud -even though it's pretty simple.:D)

I'm afraid my injuries make my typing speed really slow, so I'm not sure how much I could contribute, on the fly. I'm a good listener, though.

Anyway, if there is interest, I'll have a go at getting one started. Anyone have an idea for a cool name?

Yes please! I am not always on, but when I am it would be nice to have somewhere to go if I was struggling :)

NT Chat room is also shared with our sister site Psych Central.

The tricky thing for a smaller group is getting together at same time, when in different timezones..

In the past members here would post a thread saying they would like to chat sometime and the time zone they are in, then others can share their timezone, and maybe if they have a best time /day for chatting.

I found with a large group it does go fast, mentally, trying to keep up and type replies..

Hi Gang,

Okay, I've created TBIchat. To enter, just click Chat Rooms at the top of the page. That will take you to the chat page. From there, press "enter." That will take you to the "lobby." You then select the room you want and you're good to go.

Well, the time zone thing shouldn't be a big barrier. We're TBI patients; we don't sleep like "normal" people. :)

I can't seem to find a mechanism to make the Chat Room permanent. When the "creator" leaves, the room disappears. :Hum:
