New Member Question

Hi, everyone. I too have a back Medtronic back stimulator. I had to have the battery replaced today. I've been reading the sad messages of people having trouble with their stimulators and it kind of scares me. I have only felt like it's saved my life and freed me from horrible pain. I pray I don't have the kind of troubles I've been reading about. I do have a question though. I noticed on my paperwork today that the diagnosis code was: psychosocial dysfunction. I have never seen this on any of my paperwork and I've been disabled since 2002. Does anyone know what this means...in laymans terms::confused:

Hi nanamommy,
Welcome to NeuroTalk! :)
If you follow the link that Darlene left you will find others who have had a positive experience with their pain pumps.

I'm not sure exactly what psychosocial dysfunction means in your case, but it's perhaps related to the many years of pain that you have experienced and the impact that pain has had on your daily functioning.

take care.
