Groin Pain

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced groin pain with their PN. The pain is high on the left thigh not centrally. Like when you strain your groin from over stretching when exercising.
I have had a sharp pain in the left side for days now.

Hi Phil
You might want to try googling 'Pudendal Neuralgia' for an explanation and to see if it fits your symptoms.

Thanks for that, will do.

Yes, mine migrates everywhere. It stays in some areas for weeks. Feels kind of like an injury and then it seems to heal. I remember when this first started, I had some parts that stayed like this for months. Sometimes the shooting pains migrate all day though and I think it will stay in one place for a long time, but it's gone in 15 min. Right now I'm dealing with it especially badly in the right side of my neck and shoulder. Feel like it is being stabbed and twisted-10 days now....
Hopefully yours will let up soon. Hope you are using all the right precautions when working with the chemicals.

And I want to mention that your description is exactly what I experience in parts of my body for no reason. I could swear it feels like a sprain/strain injury, but it happens for no reason. The first time it happened to my soleus muscle and it lasted for 3 months. I think it is the nerves that innervate these muscles that are under attack and cause the muscle to go into a spasm, so it actually does cause a strain injury. That is my experience.

Mine is due to my CRPS2. But I wonder if I have pn as well. My mri was only on my upper spine....thus makes me wonder because the symptoms are similar. Thanks for the question. In asking you're not only helping yourself.... Even though I hope you find relief.

Hi Phil,

I had a rather severe burning off and on for a couple of years.
The burning pain was severe even when at rest.

I now have a sharp pain with movement of my hip (hip pain is in groin area), which is related to my autoimmune arthritis.

I don't know if you have co-occurring conditions or not. (I hope not.) If so, it can sometimes be difficult to sort out which condition is acting up.

This link may be helpful:

http://www.aafp.org/afp/2000/0401/p2109.html

It explains some of the mechanical causes of groin/hip pain.

Pain in the groin can be from a hernia in males, and also enlarged lymph nodes.

I think you should see a doctor if the pain is frequent and/or constant.

Hi, yes exactly the same. Fun and games. Not using any chemicals now. Being careful.
