My Kidneys????
I went to the doctor on Thursday, and had another blood test. My Doctor called me today, and said the test showed that my kidneys are showing more of a problem, and he wants me to have a ultrasound next week. The Hospital called, but I didn't answer. They called me before my doctor called.
He said that he studied my medications, and wanted to know what I ate. He said that I have been loosing weight, and I told him that I'm on a diet. I've lost around 35 pounds. Okay. Now I'm scared. Are they going to take me off of my medications. Do I have cancer or something like that. I don't have family to talk about these things anymore. My Dad, Mother, sister, and best friend have all passed away. I got this news on Friday afternoon, and I cannot arrange a meeting with my councilor. BF:hug::hug::hug: I've had problems with one of my eyes. One of the things in my hobby are coming to an end. I feel so depressed, scared, and angry about the hobby situation. Something else is bothering me. BF:hug::hug::hug: |

Symptoms and causes
you haven't mentioned these By Mayo Clinic Staff Print Symptoms Signs and symptoms of chronic kidney disease develop over time if kidney damage progresses slowly. Signs and symptoms of kidney disease may include: Nausea Vomiting Loss of appetite Fatigue and weakness Sleep problems Changes in how much you urinate Decreased mental sharpness Muscle twitches and cramps Swelling of feet and ankles Persistent itching Chest pain, if fluid builds up around the lining of the heart Shortness of breath, if fluid builds up in the lungs High blood pressure (hypertension) that's difficult to control |
I'm sorry you are having to deal with this BF, and I'm sorry that this news came on a Friday and you couldn't see your councilor. This must be very scary :hug::hug:
I would get the first available appointment with the hospital for the ultrasound. The sooner the doctor has more information, the sooner you will have it, and I think the better off you will be for it, even though you may still need more testing. If they think your kidney problems are med-related, one of your meds may have a track record for causing kidney damage (I'm pretty sure Seroquel doesn't), and that one may need to be discontinued. I would ask the MD to consult my pdoc about any med changes, which I think would be done very carefully, BF  You aren't alone. You are well loved, and we are here for you :hug::hug: I'll be thinking of you, and hoping that your test results aren't related to anything serious :hug::hug: |

its really hard to pinpoint any of those to KD alone. A bunch of other health problems have them as well. |

I don't want them to experiment with my medications. That has caused me a lot of suffering in the past, but if they are sure that it could be the medications, I'll have no choice. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Dear BF,
There might only be something that they want to know about and monitor. Wait for the results. PLEASE. :circlelove: M |
I am embarassed about this but my life was a mess at the time
About 15 or 20 years I had an MD who kept bugging me to see a kidney doctor INSISTED ON IT
I knew it was important but I REALLY could not get to an appointment due to work and sleep and driving. -0-0-0-0-0 Finally (one year?) I went to the appt and saw a Physician Assistant. She wanted a sonogram. She was HORRIBLE at her job. I never "got around to it" and never had the sonogram. So I do not know what was going on. M |
