Relief at last

My mom is doing well. She did NOT have an acute stroke. She had mini strokes/TIA's. Bladder infection, heart fibbing, high blood pressure.

She is now in physical rehab. She will be there for 10 days, today is day 2, she is doing very well. They keep her very busy.

2x a day is physical therapy and 2x a day is occupational therapy.

Thank God, and all you angels that have stood by me through this.

Hugs, Nikko:grouphug:

Thanks be to G-d, ((((((Nikko)))))),

That PT/OT is gonna be so good for her. Get her whipped into shape :p Keep her outta trouble too.

I'm glad your Mom didn't have a major stroke. She's still got health problems, but, these are much more treatable.

This'll give them a chance to get her medication regulated. It's not good that her blood pressure is high.

I'm glad you're getting a break, Nikko. Even though I'm sorry that your Mom's in the hospital. The constant attention will do her good and she'll come back home healthier and stronger.

BIG HUGS (and love).

This is great news!
Maybe you can take a break and really relax for a few days or go see your friends out east? Would that be enough time to plan it?

Thank you all.

No, I can't go back East now. I have to be here for my mom.

Although I hope to take a trip back sometime in the near future, but what the future holds I really don't know at this point.

Nikko

Even though you have to be there for your mom. Try and do something each day for yourself.

See also if you can get the doctor to order pt and ot outpatient when she goes home. And make it a thing that she has to do. This way she has to get out and do things. Also you can arrange a ride part of the time so she gets used to other people helping her too.

That is great to hear Nikko, I am so glad she didn't have a stroke. My step dad had a tia and it was rough, but he did recover from it. PT hopefully will help your mother too. I wish you the best and hope you're finding time to be good to yourself, you need some YOU time after all the hours of worrying you've gone through, you should do some things just for you. :)

Take care and keep us posted! :D

You had a good idea its just not good timing.

Oh, Bizi - DMOM is right good idea, just bad timing. Don't worry about it.

Yes, my cousin is coming from New York 2 weeks from today and I can't wait!

We are very close and have a lot of fun.

Hugs, Nikko
