I got ganged up on
Hi all,
I had my meeting today at Goodwill where I had been going to MS Office classes on the average of 3 times a month. The meeting was in response to an email I had sent to my teacher about an employee/friend of hers that hangs out in the class with her and jokes and carries on with the teacher. The teacher, her supervisor, and his supervisor was all there as the teacher involved them by forwarding my email to them and then I went up the ladder of command when the teacher did not respond to me in about 3 business days. Well, the teacher, her supervisor, and his supervisor, all stood up for the teacher and turned the tables on me and put me on the defensive by attacking me. Things were thrown at me like I need to come to class more often, if I'm that sensitive to noise maybe I should be moved to the back of the classroom. All of them seemed focused on attacking me and not on the issue at hand that we were there for the meeting. I stood my ground and asked them to please stick to the issue. The teacher kept saying there was more than one issue and both her and her supervisor lied. All three of them asked me who was the lady I was referring to who was in class disrupting the classroom with the teacher over and over because I did not know her name. The teacher denied any such person. My Dept. of Rehab. counselor was there and had to calm me down after awhile as that was the 1st time he spoke up. Later he told me in private he understood me being upset and that I handled it well as could be expected. He is two faced though. befuddled2 |
Oh BF that's HORRIBLE! Just because you didn't know her name didn't mean you were lying, that's just rotten, the person was worried about their job obviously and has no business teaching a class I swear. That makes me so mad! :(
You deserved better treatment then that. :( |
Sending you some hugs. Hopefully this wont continue.
But do you have a taperecorder. If so if I were you I'd keep it with you. THis way from know on if the person shows up you can record the conversations in the room, when they are there. Donna |
I agree that was awful.
I think a tape recorded is a good idea too. You handled it very well. Hugs to you, Nikko:hug: |
Thank you all. I did tape record the meeting but then again when I asked for permission to tape record the class I'm in they said no.

I think I'd just hid the tape recorder and then take it as proof she was
there later. I know its not very nice. But they aren't believing you. So this is a way to prove it. Donna |
Hi Donna,
It is against the law to tape people without their knowledge. I emailed the CEO last night. befuddled2 |
Depends, I think in Florida they have to know you have one running, but I don't know the laws elsewhere. :(
|
Yes, I know its just to bad it is. Ugh, just venting out loud.
Not a good thought. Donna |
No law against carrying the tape recorder to class in open view and asking the teacher if you can record her and her friend when you hear them talking.
OK. Bad idea. But it would get her attention -- esp. since those idiots seemed to be focusing on "proof" when every one who was in that freaking room the other day KNOWS that the teacher has a friend who hangs out with her and talks. M. |
