Neuro Appointment Myself Today

Well up the River from Riverwild I have a Neuro appointmet today and am also a little worried. Not for the same reasons as RW but for my own.

I know I am going to go in there and he is going to ask me how I am feeling, I will tell him and he will look at me and say I am sorry but your test all come back fine and there is nothing wrong with you, no medical explanation on your troubles. Are you sure you feel these sx?

I am to the point I don't even want to go but know I have too! I just am tired of being told "nope I can't tell you anything that your insurance company will take as a dx".

Thanks for listening and letting me rant!

 Venting is always good. Hope the appointment goes ok. Let us know how it works out.

I'm so sorry - I wish they could give you a dx of something. Not saying that I hope you have MS or anything like that but a dx can at least confirm to you that it's not all "in your head" or whatever the doctor is telling you.

These appointments are stressful enough even when you DO have a dx - I will say a prayer for you that things go well and that you can get some relief.

I didn't have to go through the "limbo" experience but I can imagine how frustrating that could be. Here's a

Oh my leetle Yabbit,

Here's hoping today is a good day.

While you wait, rant away. You deserve it.

I'll be calling you tonight!:hug:

I will be waiting! Was going to call last night but, it was to early!

So here is my update!
He did a few test and was quiet and then he said - I am moving you from Possible MS to Probable MS. He said the with L'Hermittes (spelling sorry?) that occurred and some of the newest sx he is moving me up the ladder of Limbo Land. He was very good and explained things and answered all my questions. We took our time and I thought things through.

So the plan - I am going to see him again in April and May he is going to do another full MRI to see if anything has changed. We will keep in contact with each other and if anything changes with me I will let him know ASAP.

Thanks Everyone! I feel better knowing that someone believes me - and truly feels what is wrong with me!

Hello Yeahbut,

Wait, wait!! We are supposed to believe you??!! Hmm...I thought we were here to give support, no matter what...well then, I really do believe you then! I guess I am in a laughing mood this morning.

One of my favorite sayings is "little by little moves a mountain". Often times getting a dx of MS is like moving a mountain isn't it? You are getting closer and hopefully by this spring you will have a dx and will be one your way to getting treated.

Best to you,

Dave

Look! HIS JOB is to find out what is wrong with you. You obviously have much better things to do with your life than to spend about two hours for the total process of seeing a neuro.

Press him regarding your tests and results. What does he "suspect" may be the cause of your symptoms? What can he do about it? What other tests are necessary to get a determination?

Of course all of the above are based on the fact that you may not have had a full blood workup to rule out other diseases and conditions that would mimic MS symptoms. If you're not happy with his responses and you feel like you're being put off then I would suggest finding another neuro.

Be your own best health advocate. Go for it!

OK! I just read your update. I guess my previous post is not relevant anymore.
