I take it you love chickens and chicks:) I sure do and used to have them. Had banty chickens mixed with oriental chickens, regular chickens and anything else. They were so colorful and interesting.

When a batch would hatch, you could tell who the father was as there were feathers sticking straight up on the top of some of the babies heads. I really liked them and would watch their antics. But, now I do not have them as I wouldn't be able to do the chores to take care of them even though the kind I had were pretty self sufficient:p Times do change:( And I couldn't be dealing with all the varmints who wanted to raise havoc with them either like I used to. Enjoy!

Ours are all bantams. We have about 35 already, and got about 4 dozen chicks. They are assorted breeds: silkies, sultans, cochins, frizzled cochins, araucanas, etc.

Mmmmmmm. They look like dinner waiting to happen!

AWWWW gee Mom, can we keep em? You don't raise them to...to.... to....

PERISH THE THOUGHT!!!

Blessings2You 05-05-2008 06:27 PM

NO NO NO! They are merely pets that happen to lay eggs. We eat chicken, but we NEVER eat anybody we know.

Those are good peeps!! What types of chickens do you have and love the one with the boa!!

My friend raises Auracana (sp) and Bantams.

Whoops! Silly me!! I scrolled back a ways and found my answer.
