While researchers are studying proteins in the brain in an effort to find a cause and ultimately a cure for Parkinson’s Disease (PD), people are finding relief from their PD symptoms with a simple do-it-yourself acupressure technique (EFT). In 40 hours of live seminars, EFT founder, Gary Craig demonstrates how this simple acupressure procedure alleviates symptoms associated with most serious diseases.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB via PRWeb) October 18, 2006 -- While researchers search for elusive causes and cures to serious diseases, people all over the world are using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to reduce and eliminate their disease symptoms. EFT is a do-it-yourself acupressure technique that anybody can use to provide relief from the physical and emotional symptoms associated with diseases like Parkinson’s.

It involves fingertip tapping on select acupressure points while focusing on the symptom in question. EFT claims an 80% success rate in calming symptoms associated with serious diseases. It can be learned without cost by downloading the free EFT Manual at http://www.emofree.com/downloadeftma...sp?ref=prwPDcw

Researchers recently discovered that the development of abnormal clumps of protein in the brain may contribute to symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Their goal is ultimately to develop drugs to hinder the development of these proteins. Another study links exposure to pesticides with a 70% higher risk of developing PD.

According to the theory behind EFT, a major and often overlooked cause of diseases are the unresolved emotional issues and a disrupted energy meridian system (Chi or Qi). When emotional issues are resolved using EFT, physical symptoms associated with serious diseases have been shown to clear, sometimes immediately and often permanently.

Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed EFT, demonstrates on-camera how EFT calms symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. Dave Rogan, a gentleman who attended an EFT workshop, was hoping for relief from his symptoms of PD, COPD, asthma double vision and neurogenic bladder.

While Craig worked with Dave on stage in front of a seminar audience of 400 people, Dave’s Parkinson’s tremors faded to nothing within just moments of EFT tapping. Craig explains, “Dave was a great example of how unresolved emotions show up in our bodies as illness. As you see on film, as soon as we mentioned Dave’s abusive father, his tremors were so strong that they were visible on camera. A few moments of tapping stopped the tremors.”

Three months later, in another on-camera EFT seminar, Dave demonstrated significant improvement when he worked with Craig on stage. His demeanor changed, he said he was happier and more able to find the fun in life, his tremors remained at bay, his double vision had cleared and his breathing had improved.

To witness Dave’s on-camera EFT sessions, the combined set of DVD’s , which contains 40 hours of instruction and demonstrations, costs only $72 at https://www.emofree.com/Store/store.aspx?ref=prwPDcw.

Dave had been on what he described as “a complicated schedule of medications”, taking at least 15 different meds that caused horrible side effects. His physicians predicted he would die with or without the drugs so he stopped taking all medication. Accordingly, he was drug-free when he participated in the EFT seminars, so could not attribute the easing of his symptoms to drug therapy.

The mission of the American Parkinson Disease Association is to "ease the burden and find a cure". While EFT doesn’t claim to cure any diseases, a decade of reports of people finding relief from symptoms associated with serious diseases are testament to this simple do-it-yourself technique as easing the burden. Craig makes the EFT Manual available at no cost in an effort to help people who have been diagnosed with an illness.

Dr. Eric Robins, a California physician uses EFT in his medical practice. He says, “I would recommend all patients, when given a new diagnosis of anything, first ask themselves questions like: a) what unresolved issues exist in my life that may be contributing to this disease, and b) what kinds of things am I stressing myself out over. The best technique to address these issues and to clear them out of the body is EFT.

Over 350,000 people have downloaded Craig’s free training manual and another 10,000 download it each month. Known as The EFT Manual, it has been translated by volunteer practitioners into nine languages. The EFT website is the fifth most actively visited natural health site in the world.

The EFT Manual gives anyone all the basics so they can apply it right away. It can be freely downloaded at… http://www.emofree.com/downloadeftma...sp?ref=prwPDcw

Don't know where...

...my first reply went but I'll try again:

EFT is for real. I have seen it work wonders in my wife and others. Anything with a psychogenic component is particularly responsive and that covers a lot.

Reading the EFT manual, I couldn't help but think Dianetics and the "clearing" of emotional pain.

Color me blue, banded and skeptical -

Skeptical doesn't begin to describe...

...my initial reaction to EFT. It does sound too, well, New-Agey at first glance. As to dianetics, Gary Craig's goal was to take what worked from the various NA techniques and lash them together so I am sure that dianetics was in the mix.

Three things swayed me about EFT (Note: I still am skeptical about some of the claims made, but those are details.):
1) Gary Craig is an engineer and is quite sincere in his effort to take the good and put it into an accessible format. Gary (and one does end up thinking of him on a first name basis) seems to be a nice guy. He seems to be the type of innocent that would last about five seconds around an L. Ron Hubbard type.
2) He is not making money on it. If the policy has not changed since my wife got her discs, the copyright gives one the right to copy it and pass it on to whoever you want. Gary is not much of a businessman.
3) It does work. Maybe not for eveything, but for many. The most striking thing was a physical injury that had become chronic and had limited my wife for over ten years, at times putting her into a wheelchair. I watched as EFT cured the problem in less than thirty minutes. That has been two years ago and it never came back.

I just visited www.emofree.com and they have slicked it up just a little but the flavor is the same. The DVDs run about 15 hours and cost $60. Two will cost $72. I told you he isn't a businessman, Here are some quotes:

"Order any or all of our widely acclaimed DVD sets and study them thoroughly. If you are not completely satisfied then simply return them with a note requesting a refund. Your purchase price will be immediately refunded. No questions asked."

and

"As you can tell from our low prices, we are very serious about spreading the word. To perpetuate this important goal you are permitted to make copies of your DVDs and give (not sell) them to up to 100 people."

Finally, there is this site:

http://www.mercola.com/forms/eftcourse.htm

All I can really tell you is that there is something there. I have been remiss in not taking a disciplined approach in testing it on PD and will try to add it on to my regimen.

OK, now. who wants to talk Reiki?? :)

Tried it

With reference to reverett123, my first response disappeared, too. I think
this is what I said:

I tried this method three years ago under the tutelage (sp?) of my therapist/counselor; we went through all of the drills for a few weeks. My difficulty was that I am so ADD that I could not focus on the process long enough to accomplish anything. Two taps and my mind was staring at something else in the room; I felt no benefit whatsoever. Same thing with my eyes closed. Maybe it works, but you can't prove it by me.

On the other hand, I have found that I can stop even the worst shaking in one limb by focusing all of my attention on that limb. If I stay still and relaxed I will stay for maybe a minute. Of course, if I instead try to use that moment of calm to do something, it goes back immediately to whateve it was doing before. (Does anyone else sometimes feel like their hand is behaving like that of Dr. Strangelove?)

accupuncture.....

would ameliorate, but not eliminate, my symptoms, especially my dyskinesia for about 3 days. I'd reccomend it!!!

I'll have to look more into this particular method, as it sounds intriguing.

Back in the early 90's I had two very major and serious lower back operations. I tried every therapy and drug known to man to eliminate or relieve the constant pain I was in, and still am, but nothing worked.

Then I reluctantly tried acupressure and acupunture, mostly in the form of Korean hand therapy. It gave me pain relief like nothing else. Not 100% and it certainly didn't cure me, but the difference was huge! My doctor taught me how to self-administer the needles into my own hand and I still use it to this day.

I would be interested if these same methods could relieve dystonia pain, which would certainly be more than welcome! Worth looking in to...

I used some of the emofree techniques for my RSI {repetitive strain injury-1999} and it did work and reduce the symptoms at that time.
I used the free version of the technique.
Basically I only did the tapping part- not all the rest of it.

I totally forgot all about it by 2003 when my RSI/TOS injury came about.
I just saw the link/info about it again a year ago- my symptoms are mild now so I only played around a bit with it at that time.

It still does have the free download as mentioned in the first post- a pdf http://www.emofree.com/downloadeftma...sp?ref=prwPDcw

Following up on comments on Reiki...

I was "attuned" to practice Reiki a couple of months ago, after having had it used on me to good effect. The Master who initiated me said that I was probably the easiest individual to attune that she'd ever seen. It was like I was already doing it and just needed to be put in the right channel--or something like that. I don't know how it works, it just does. My background coming into it was Christian healing prayer. I use Reiki to alleviate my own pain and to draw peacefulness and clarity to the few others I've practiced on. My experience has been limited by the fact that most of this time I've been homebound or in the hospital. With someone else, it feels like a surge of life's energy (the Chi or Qi or the "ki" in Reiki, or pure Love) goes through my body and out my hands. I can also feel an intense and detached love for the person I'm touching. It's an intensely spiritual experience. Results? I don't know, I don't quantify or count these things. The spirituality alone is enough for me.

Jaye
