Dental Problems-Need some prayers

Went yesterday to the dentist. I have been having pain
on the left side of my upper palate. Just above the Eye Tooth

Could not touch it in anyway and cold or hot water "OOOOOOO"

It started to bother me a couple of weeks ago. As time went on
it got worse. It took me two days to get an appointment with the
dr.
Worse scenerio!!! I have an infection in the tooth and it is
draining into the root, which means "you guessed I need a root
canal. That is scheduled for next Wed. I am on anti-bot. until then.
Have to get the infection under control before he can do anything.
I am in pain cannot eat solid foods. Even liquids hurt.

What really gets me mad is that I go every 6 months for a check-up
I was there last, this past April. Everything was perfect.
The x-rays he took yesterday does not show a cavity. I have a filling
in this tooth. He said what is probably happening is that decay has
started in the old filling and got infected and has infected the root and
spread.
As you all know we don't need any kind of infections to invade
our bodies. It just makes things worse.
Today my sinus and eye is hurting (left side)

I am scared. Hope that this infection does not spread any further
in the body.

Need some prayers that everything is going to be all right and that
I will get through this root canal without any complications and not to
much PAAAAAAAIN!!!

Thanks, Jappy :grouphug:

I had something similar throughout 2007, and I left it till Mar/08 to deal with it. Not a good plan , and this is the reason I am ALWAYS asking people with new symptoms to be checked for infection.

A root canal procedure is really not that bad of an ordeal, but it can be costly if you need a cap. I think most of my teeth have had root canals now.

What happened with me is that I got a cap over the root canal, several years ago. It suddenly started hurting while I was traveling in the US, but I waited to come home to have it checked. It took a few months before the dentist figured out the problem (in fact his dental assistant did, when cleaning one time), but what it was, was that I had broken one of the roots under the cap.

He managed to keep the inflammation down from Oct/06 to Feb/08, by injecting something in it every several months. I have a high tolerance to pain, and he told me I could hang onto that "much needed molar" for as long as I could tolerate the pain.

2007 was a difficult year for infections and MS symptoms, but I blamed it on everything other then that tooth "inflammation".

I had it pulled in Mar/08, and finally my symptoms and health started to turn around. The damage was done though, and I did not recover fully from the last year of infection in my body.

DON'T LEAVE INFECTION UNTREATED!

Good luck. I hope you start feeling better too when this is all said and done.

Cherie
