Burning fingernails

Hello all
I, too, am kind of new to all of this. Saw a regular neurologist for some of the usual tests, EMG, NCV, GTT (4hr.), heavy metals, Anti HU, B12,etc. Nothing really definite. Feel like I am in a wind storm with burning sand hitting me. No real numbness. Does not feel like the numbness with hitting my funny bone. Affects feet, legs, hands and arms. Now I feel some burning in my fingernails for the last few months. I stopped using any type of nail polish, etc. and still burning. Nails look normal. Finally have an appoint to see a PN neurologist in October and maybe I can find out what is going on. Neurontin doesnt seem to help. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi sbvcm,

I have a very hot burning sensation at the very tip of some of my fingers. I goes up under the nail a little. Not sure if that is the same as you are describing? I also get a bad burning sensation on the cuticle area of my big toe. Hope things go well with the PN specialist in October. My appt is in November with a PN specialist.

Let us know how your appointment goes.

Kelly

Hi Kelly
Sounds like there might be similarities. Everything is so different and yet similar for many of us. I will let you all know about my PN appt. in October. Please let us know how your appt. goes too. We have to stick together.
