Good morning I am still awake!!
It's 3:30 in the morning and I am still awake!!!
So my back started spasming around 11. Percocet not working. Plus I have been having this weird insomnia thing for the last few months...it's kind of driving me batty. Anyone suggest anything for not sleeping? Last neuro gave me ambien which worked great but he took me off of it after 5 days and put me on amitryptoline? Which started as 10mg, then 20, then 25 and I was up to 50mg when I decided it wasn't working and stopped taking it. I swear there is an invisible leprechaun plunging a sword into my spine. |
Good morning Legzz. I'm awake too, but I must own up and say that my time zone is different to your's.
I'm sorry that you're in pain. Have you tried the hot chocolate and the heat packs? |
I have tried everything. I have decided that in hopes it really is a leprechaun, he will enjoy some irish coffee. I have not a had a drop of alcohol in over a year.... However while at my favorite Target store today I noticed they now sell irish cream... so I picked some up. At this point I may as well stay up I have to get up in two hours anyway. So I made myself a big irish coffee.

I don't like Irish coffee, but Bailey's Irish Cream is a different story!
I like that, but it's probably 2 or 3 years since I had one, maybe more. I even have an easy recipe to make my own.... but I just haven't bothered. Do you feel any sleepier for having your "special" coffee? |
No sleepier. A little giddier, still stumbling. I swear my house is a pathetic sight at 4 AM.
Fiance just left for work. He has a steel rod in his leg from a skiing accident a few years ago. And of course the Army has managed to tear his leg up along with pulling a few tendons in his hip. So the two of us were in the kitchen stumbling around each other and complaining about aches and pains. I couldn't help but crack up laughing. He just turned 30 and I am 28. I have seen people in their 60's move better than the two of us first thing in the morning. It's pathetic. |
It's rather pathetic to be laughing at our own disabilities when we are still under 30. I remember!
I'm old now, but I got diagnosed with MS when I was 25 and those first 5 years or so were the worst. Some days I even crawled because there was no way my legs would support me, but I never gave up. Not ever. |
We have to laugh. If we don't laugh we all fall apart. Besides, when you laugh people realize just how crazy you are.
On the plus side, the numbness makes my daily injections a breeze! |
I agree!
It's like that saying "you don't have to be crazy..... but it sure helps". :D It's 8pm on Monday night here in the Land of Oz. How's the time where you live? Is daylight sneaking over the horizon yet? |

Dishes??? Oh NO! No-one does dishes at this hour!
You can't risk waking the neighbours now, can you? :D (any excuse is a good excuse!) |
