Polymyalgia Rheumatica

Hi...Just wondering if anybody has ever any experience or heard of Polymyalgia Rheumatica before. My Step-Mother a couple of weeks ago suddenly started experiencing horrible pain in her hands, wrists, and arms. Of course, I was alarmed because she had no injury. Or prior injury. It came on suddenly and with a vengence. We asumed it was arthritis. This pain put her out of commission and down for the count. She is writhing in pain and it's out of control.
