Seeing as my oxycontin side effects now far outweigh the benefits, my pain dr has suggest I swap it for Jurnista- the brand name of hydromorphone- so I'm researching it now before I decide what to do.
I'd be taking 16mg a day, in one slow release tablet that lasts 24 hours. I have found some factual info about this med, but no personal stories from RSDers. Has anyone had any experience with this medication? Thanks, Kate

The only experience I have ever had was with Avinza, which is also a morphine based drug. It worked well for the pain but dryed out my mouth very badly which in turn did a number on my teeth. The dentist did give me a medication to bring moisture back to my mouth, but he did feel if this was a side effect for me I should use something else. So I did I was only on it about 3 months and my doctor switched me to something else. This doesn't happen to everyone from what I have been told but it's something to watch out for. Gabbycakes |
