Default Hiya GoodnPlenty!

GnP -
Great, you found us, I'm so very delighted....god, we all sound like a whole mess of pottages, don't we!

Perhaps now we've got a few more ppl to bounce back off, we can start climbing back! I always make the mistake of checking in too late at night to be alert enough to help much...

But you've already done me a power of good by just being here. I'll try to check in again tomorrow when my heads clearer (!?)... Look after yourself, gently does it,
xxxxx
take care and all the best .

Hey back at you artist .

I kind of feel a little bit renegade
I first joined these forums in 1998 under a different pseudonym ; took a long long break and then came back ..sporadically as you know.
'98 was a way older version of the present day configuration and the forums were much smaller and homier if you will ... a few lost souls looking for some like minded individuals to feed their need for survival, solace and direction.

The forums have gone through so many changes , ebbs and flows over the years and this is just another one .

I do wonder how someone can make a mirror image of the original forums so easily when John had so many server problems .
Also who is this do gooder????
Maybe I should shut up and not wonder these things at all

Well welcome small group.
I am sure as I found a way here ..everyone else will too.

Much peace,
GnP

Yes, GnP, I think many people felt kinda like a betrayer at first...but the whole thing took off so well right from the start, people were so relieved to find a home, even if temporary - that we've made it permanent. So I'll be on both forums if the original ever comes back on line.

It was started by Dr. John Grohol who runs PsychCentral out of Boston, http://psychcentral.com/ - he's a psychologist. Personally I think it's a good thing to have someone like him in charge. Mixes well with neurological problems. Seems like a real good guy. Someone said earlier..So what's the difference, there's this forum run by John from Boston, then there's this forum run by John from Boston

Actually, the vbulletin format (this blue forum design and layout) is the default software - there are many others identical all over the net. Just read early posts in Forum Feedback (it'll only take about 3 years!) - you'll see all the early questions, recriminations, suspicions, dramas. But it's really settling down now, and I'm really finding it fun.

I love the smaller forum thing, it suits me. Except of course in *this* RSD forum, here I want everybody back right now!

Well, gotta go to bed, all the best...

That is why I left so happily - all the fighting and the drama -
In the very beginning there were no moderators and people were new to netiquette and nuance on this new medium altogether ....mix altogether with pain, a bad day , some really bad docs and differing backrounds and you had the potential for some lashing out online .No one to blame just a volatile combination of alot of things.
I agree it has calmed down a whole lot .People got more accustomed to the medium and the message ( with all due thanks to Malcom Mclaren)
We did have alot of fun too in the smaller groups before the fighting and craziness took over.

Anyway John or John ......as long as and esp. for new people who feel their world has been turned upside down and inside out ; who can come here ( or there - if there exists again ) and get that warm fuzzy feeling in their hearts when they realize they are not alone, then it really doesn't matter where they have to go to get that feeling here or there(or both) as long as they get it.

It's like love - you can never have too much of it

Much peace
GnP
