I have had RSD for 10+ years. I never new it was RSD until 2 years ago when I finally went to a knowledgable physician in pain management. Found here on NT by other's recommendations. Due to the fact that I used ice & the cool pool for years when injured my inner thermometer is unlike others with RSD. My RSD responds well to cold. Heat flares me. Therefore, heating pads, comforters, blankets, clothing feel like prickly hot sandpaper. I even have to have the air conditioning on me 24/7 or wear ice packs. However, when I went thru cancer a couple of years ago my best friend got me the sofest blanket & socks at Nordstroms. They also carry at Nordstrom rack. Shoes: all I can wear is flip flops or tennis shoes. My arms cannot tolerate sleeves, I cannot wear a bra so I hang loose wear cami's.

You will find after so many tries what your skin can tolerate. My closet used to be full of career clothing & shoes. Now its just active wear, yoga pants & cami's.
