How many stellate gangleon blocks can
you safely have? After 14 I think it's time to move on to the epidural?? My dr. Has not mentioned a word!, but he did say let's do an MRI , to see what's going on. All these procedures without much explaining details is driving me nuts. My hands are swollen, red, hurt. Neck , shoulders are as tight as if they were glued down. Help! Anyone experience any of these? Comments greatly appreciated. Ag |

Hi.
I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I'm not sure this will help but I thought I would let you know how the nerve blocks worked out for me. I have RSD in both my legs so we did nerve blocks to try to decrease the pain. The original plan was to do a series of six on the right and then six on the left. The nerve blocks helped with my legs tempature (limbs are extremely cold) and provided short-term relief (2-4 days). We stopped at number 5 because the nerve blocks did not provide any consistant relief (didnt even last a full week). The doctor who performed the procedure on me said that six was the standard, so we stopped. I would suggest exploring your options, maybe bring up your concerns to the doctor. Have you had any changes since you started the nerve block series? |
