Thanks, Ladies
I went to a football game with my son, brother and my hubby and then went barhopping. I hardly had a sip of alcohol, but the weirdest thing happened to me. There was this awesome band, but the bass was so deep and thumping, that I could feel the charge of pain and fire got through my affected leg and arm every time they would play. I started crying and my hubby knew exactly what it was and we left. He can sense my pain and see my facial expression and know. He's actually getting it! I really think that the stress of the weekend just really got to me,plus it's been raining for 3 days. I'm getting my epsom salt bath ready now. Thanks again, Cindi |

I haven't slept all night..a good sign of a super flare..YUCK! I have so many things going on in the next two weeks.
My father passed away a year and a half and donated his body to science. We just got his ashes back and we are going to take them to be buried in the family cemetery in KY. I know that this is triggering this flare. I haven't ever been to KY without my dad. I am seeing family members whom I haven't seen in 22 years.... I never throw a pity party for myself, but please pray that this flare doesn't go on through my visit. My kids are going to help me drive and my step-mom will be there to take care of me if it's bad. My baby sister and brother are going too, so I'm not worried about when I get there...just the 5 hour drive. Thank you all for your support. Soft gentle hugs, ![]() Cindi |

Hi Cindi,
Do you have a day or 2 to CHILL before you leave on your long trip? Sounds like you could use some peace and quiet and rest...There is a wonderful book called the "Mindfulness Solution to Pain" by Jackie Gardner-Nix. It has helped me learn how to relax much better than I was able to before. My therapist advised me to order it and we talked a lot about meditation while I was seeing her (WC only allowed me 10 sessions with a shrink, which have expired). I also take a muscle relaxer - Skelaxin, and a sleeping aid before I go to bed to ensure that I sleep. They usually work well, (they knock me right out!)even though I still wake often from pain (when I move around). I will deal later in life with any addiction issues, right now I am concerned about keeping my flares and pain levels to a minimum and sleeping and relaxation are CRITICAL. I so don't want to get any sicker than I already am. Please try to take it easy. XOXOX Sandy |
