Watch out. People are different but I get most of my infections through the eyes and to a lesser extent through the nasal membranes. I avoid touching my eyes unless my hands are clean.

Most people sneeze into a tissue and it acts as a sort of diffuser and the droplets go in all directions and travel on the breeze. Those with an upward trajectory can take a long time to hit the floor. If someone sneezes do not walk through the cloud and if there's no choice hold your breath and squint.

Wash your hands frequently.

And keep complaining about people diffusing their germs.

People look at me like I'm a slob but I sneeze onto the floor and then wipe my nose. If you don't believe this is important watch someone sneeze into a tissue in the sunlight. It just goes everywhere. Once the droplets hit the ground they dry quickly and are no longer potent.
