Default been sick so long

Hi everyone,
well my luck has just been getting worse be each day. My broken leg is still giving me trouble. The rsd spread due to the operation. 3 weeks ago i was in the hospital again, this time the swine flu. It was very scarey and i didn't know if i was ever going to breath right again. Please take care of your health. Follow all of the precautions. I would not wish the h1n1 virus on anyone.

Take care
sue k

Sue,
I wish I knew you better, yet regardless.
I wish only the best for you!

I have difficulty (as most of us here do, I'm sure), hearing about your difficulties.
Yet, I have much empathy!
I've been through some terrible things, too.

So, anything you'd like to tell us, about avoiding this deadly flu, would be helpful.
I just saw my neuro this past week, and he was kind of "on the fence" about the flu shot, but, with so many decades before with him , and Dr S. in Philly telling me Not to get a flu shot, it was odd to hear him telling me to get it!
So, that's it, officially, I was told to get the shot!

Tell us more, Sue?

We're all ears!!!

Pete

The flu is pretty scary to me since I get a panic attack when my breathing is in any way labored now. I'm very aware of it.

I don't know?
What's the consensus?
Get the shot, or no?

My Neoro said yes, but, not in a definitive way!
There is liability there! I'm certain!

Anytime, in the past, that I've gotten a "flu shot", I've gotten the flu!
So, gotta think about that!
And, I was reminded of that!

Sorry for all the exclamation points!!

I don't know what else to say about it, !!!!!!

I think I'll stick to
lots of Orange Juice, vitamin C, E, B complex, and uh, um, oh, yea Lotsa Skim Milk!
Yum~
I just love it!

What else folks, do we need, to stay naturally healthy?

Hi Pete, My Neuro also talk me to get both shots. I'm scared. Never had any flu shots before. My Doc thinks I may have had the h1n1 flu. I'm to wait 7-10 days before getting either shot.
The highest anti-oxidant in the world is:#1 Dark Chocolate, #2 Acai berry
I eat cold pressed Belgium Dark Chocolate with Flash frozen ACai Berry and Blueberry in it.It has a ORAC value of 15,300 and 2,250 Flavonoids (mg) for 3 pieces/with probiocs Another one I like has 11,319 ORAC Value and 1,209 Flavonoids (mg) for 3 pieces This Dark Chocolate has Acai and orange in it.
Another one for ONE PIECE is 3,120 ORAC Value with Acai and Blueberries-unprocess/non-alkalized cacao powder. The 4th one has 10,746 ORAC Value with Acai and Blueberries for 3 pieces.
Hope we all stay well.from the flu and Sandy S your grandbaby doesn't get it. Take care all, loretta

Watch out. People are different but I get most of my infections through the eyes and to a lesser extent through the nasal membranes. I avoid touching my eyes unless my hands are clean.

Most people sneeze into a tissue and it acts as a sort of diffuser and the droplets go in all directions and travel on the breeze. Those with an upward trajectory can take a long time to hit the floor. If someone sneezes do not walk through the cloud and if there's no choice hold your breath and squint.

Wash your hands frequently.

And keep complaining about people diffusing their germs.

People look at me like I'm a slob but I sneeze onto the floor and then wipe my nose. If you don't believe this is important watch someone sneeze into a tissue in the sunlight. It just goes everywhere. Once the droplets hit the ground they dry quickly and are no longer potent.

Thanks guys for your caring so much. I know i don't come on here that often, i just don't seem to have the energy for much of anything most of the time. I think i need to talk to the doc about depression. I think everyone should get the flu shot, most important the one for h1n1. I have never been so afraid in my life. My breathing numbers should have been in the 90's, but the lowest i went was 74. They had to add more tubing to the oxygen just so that i could get to the bathroom. I couldn't breath at all. I was seeing things and i dreamed about everyone in my family. It was like my life was seeing my life flash before my eyes. I was saying things i didn't know i was saying, strange things it scared my daughter and husband. I saw the doc that admitted me that day and he acted so shocked to see me. I think he thought i wasn't going to make it. Its been a couple of weeks now and i still feel weak. I lost 10 lbs in the 10 days i was in the hospital. It takes a long time to come back from this flu. I hope that none of you have to go trough this. I talked to the pain clinic today and they said that since we have crps we are at risk for this. Because we are in so much pain, we have more stress which makes it hard for our bodies to fight off this kind of thing. I pray that all of you stay healthy and please don't be afraid to get the shot. Its better than getting the h1n1 virus. I can promise you that. You are the most caring people i have ever talked to. Thank you so much.

Love, sue k

Hey Pete,
Wash our hands frequently, take anti-bacterial soap with us everywhere. I gave my son in law a box of tamiflu in case he gets sick in a hotel somewhere. Need to take tamiflu within 48 hrs. Also sent the gel to wipe hands, airlines provides wipes for the cockpit. He's got a strong immune system-so does daughter. They are not getting the shot. Neigher is husband. He's pretty sick with head-upper chest cold. At costco there is a box of 4 nasal congestion sprays-it works so well-white bottle with red Kirkland label.
I'm staying to my self pretty much.Well, take care-I'll write more later. your friend, loretta

Hi everyone,
i hope i didn' offend anyone pushing the issue about the swine flu shot. Its just that i was so scared when i was going through it. Everyone has the right to decide if they want the shot or not. Washing hands, eating right and keeping things clean are some of the ways to prevent getting the virus. I drink more orange juice more now than i ever have. I am so sorry if i sounded so crazy talking about the shot. It was just fear.
