She was on here a few days ago,but she was only giving advice to someone. Maybe she's too busy being a teenager instead of an RSD monster wrangler...lol!
I hope all is well with her, she is a great inspiration to us all!

Hi all,

I noticed that Ali was logged on today, around 1:45, I was also logged on and saw her name. So she has logged on lately. Maybe she is too busy to answer. She does have RSD in her arm. Maybe she is too much pain to type. Hopefully she is ok... We miss you Ali!

Heart

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to think about me and post - I really appreciate it!

I am still around but can't get on as much unfortunately as I have been extremely busy with College and School work. I am going to College 3 days a week and to the School centre which I attend the rest so it's really been taking it out on me! College seems to be one assignment after another and when I get home, it's straight back to work lol! We've just held a coffee morning today for the local hospice which was quite good - had lots of people attend and raised quite a lot of money!

I had my first Placement at the end of November in a Nursing Home with old people which was really good. There wasn't a lot of walking around - it was more sat down communicating with the patients - so it worked out quite well. My next 2 week placement is coming up at the beginning of April and is in a Nursery so that should be good!

Things are still pretty much the same on the RSD front. Still in lots of pain and also been dealing with a spread to my right leg - though thankfully, it was caught quickly so has been a bit easier to treat. My PTs are still wanting to try Botox to help with the Dystonia however, every Doctor I talk to seems to think that it wouldn't work and would just make things worse so don't think we are willing to go down that route at the moment.

We have seem family issues going on to top things off as well! My Uncle has been ill for about 2 years with chest pains and the doctors told him that he had gout in his lung (never knew you could get it there lol!) and kept dismissing him just giving him pain killers and telling him it would get better. It didn't unfortunately and 2 weeks ago, he was diagnosed with terminal Cancer. If the doctors had took notice earlier, he could have had a chance of fighting it. The news has come as a shock to all of us as we didn't expect anything like this at all! He is currently undergoing Radio and Chemotherapy and has been given about 18 months to live.

Thanks again for posting and i'll try and get on the forum more now! I hope you are all well!

Alison
