I know that pain you speak of and it's horrible!! When I am in desperate need of relief, I do the warm, epsom salt baths and they help me a lot. And I also keep an eye out for anyone with a chainsaw so I can cut my legs off when they get to feeling like that. Grrrrrr.........

This is a tough one. There is some research that suggests that bisphosphonates help with the deep bone pain for people with RSD so it could be something you could check into.
After my severe allergic reaction to pamidronate infusions I'm ruled out as a candidate for this class of drugs. Although my reaction is considered rare it was no fun and this class of drugs does have many risks. I haven't found anything else to lower the bone pain but as others here suggest, heat is a life saver. I prefer to use my hot wax machine for my foot and hand. Good luck. MsL

I have bone pain as well,I had a total hip replacement done and i have severe pain in the joint . Im taking anti-inflammatorys ,sometimes they seem to help and other times,i was taking celebrex 200mg and had no relief,,As edever and vanna posted,,heat helps,I use both, dry[heating pad and wet heat [bathtub],,wet heat is always better,,Ive noticed that anti depressants such as xanx seems to knock my bone pain down from an 8 to a 6 and its consistant,,I really hope and pray that God comes soon,,

Thanks for your replys- I wonder what is actually happening to the bone? would it show on an MRI? Has anyone had relief with morphine. Vicodine is not touching it...
