Thumbs up "crps/rsd diet"

Alright!! So this is my first thread. I have just recently come to grasp with the fact that I have RSD. However, reading most of your posts, I don't think mine is a as bad as alot of yours. The pain is definitely up there, but blocks work for me, and I don't have discoloration in my leg... althought I do have swelling....

Anyways, I am trying to do everything that I can to HOPEFULLY flip this into remission, before it progresses too much. I had read online that there was diet for CRPS... its called "The Four F's Diet" and it is pretty explicit on what to eat and what not to eat... you can google it!!!

I was wondering if anyone had tried this diet, or found any foods that help this disease or make it better! Let me know if you have found any thing!!

THANKS!

hi court
There are alot of foods to eat and avoid,,you want to stay away from triggers,{sounds like you found the 4 f RSD diet which is a good thing},My worst triggers are sugars, caffeine, fried foods, choclate,,,take out fast food,,I do really good when i can discipline myself to eat rice[Ilike jasmine] and frozen vegtables, and oatmel [plain for breakfast,,,,,Its a bland nasty diet, but it lowers pain levels within 2 weeks .,,,,,But like all humans,,we are obedient while were in pain,,but after 2 weeks and you are feeling better,,,we start cheating again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,bobber

Not me..I am a small portion...junky eatter, not really junky as I went on A plan... after I had my kids...8 yrs ago..drop 65lbs. kept it off and watch my fats..but a terrible vegetable person...I watch what I eat but have not stream lined it with my RSD...Honestly..I would bathe in chocolate if I could but I have a pretty high diapline for what is good vs. bad for me so I watch myself...I am thinking strive for the 5..(me I strive for 4 kicking out the veggies)...everything in moderation and essential amino acids..are essential!!

I have been eating alot of organic food, fresh squeezed juices, grapefruit and lemonade, and trying to eat more veggies, I am not really all for veggies either.. but I am trying more. Iam really a mexican junky.. HA! I could live on mexican food, but I found a good organic mexican soup and tried it last night and it was WONDERFUL!!! I guess I havent found my triggers.. I have no idea what they are, but I am going to try and take out the foods that that diet dats to take out!

I don't do follow this diet though should but anyhow my pain doc suggested taking vitamin c supplements. It is rare a regular doc who is not holistic suggests supplements so I take it. Not sure if it helps but can't hurt. I take other supplements too like omega and magnesium but the vitamin c was highlighted by him
