Default Hi there..I just saw the PM Dr and...

I advised him that the nerve blocks did not work. Now he gave me a dvd on SCS..I am not familiar with any of these stuff and it sounds scary. He said I would need a psych eval?? Is this true..Anyone that had this done or know anything could you explain? I truly appreciate it and thanks in advance

Hi Mom.

There is a new "sticky" at the top of the page for SCS. It's new this week, so not much on there yet. My Ortho thinks I would be a good candidate too. Check it out!

I've had 2 scs implanted and 2 removed. I now have a painpump which I LOVE> I've posted on the other stick so you can read my story.

Seems to be protocol... first goes the blocks..then sugestion of SCS.. at the same time trying meds... do lots of homework..read our posts..I have the SCS..didn't work for me..some it does...the pump seems to have more success... but lots of Dr. are not offering that up..the phych eval.. is required by the insurance co. prior to implantation... ..So sorry your blocks were not successful... Hang in there the best you can...

Soft hugz, kathy

I will use your screen name and keep smiling I have been in awful pain nonstop everyday and i just hate that fact that all i can do is try and bare it. I don't want to be a nag or a pain to anyone. I find this site helpful. I did check out the scs forum and decided that i will not go with that procedure. I am nervous about having a foriegn objectg in my body and having to do deal with something like that permanently I don't think i can do that. There has got to be something else. I will keep searching until I find something. Thanks again everyone and i pray and hope you are feeling pain free
