Heart My family..I am off to Drexel Monday...any ?'s I can pass along??

Hello my dear family..

well my time is here..I will be traveling to see Dr. Schartzman on Monday...My first consult... I have done my home work..sauvy letter information..done! My Dr.'s records..done! List of questions... (almost) done! And our hotel reservations as well as directions..done! So anyone have some suggestions..thoughts or questions I can ask?? I want to make the most of my visit as I can..being that my MVP plan denied my appeal for any coverage...no biggie...I am appealing again..

Much love and thanks for all of your support leading up to this appt.

Kathy

Also..update..We went thru with the colon cancer surgey for my Mom..she did very well... thxs again for your help, advice and most of all votes of strength to get me thru that..her demensha is now very high but we will just work with that and pray soon that will calm down to where it was before the surgery......otherwise.. she knows I love her to the moon and back.. that is what matters most!

Default Good Luck!!

It seems like yesterday that we just started talking about this...wow. Keep us posted when you return on his suggestions. I am curious as to what he will recommend for a treatment plan, and whether he will work with your current doc or if you will need to travel to Philly again and again in the future for appts in his clinic.

My appt is this June, I made it in Dec 2008, when there was an 18 month wait to get in.

Travel safely, XOXOX Sandy

Hi Keep Smilin'
I can hear the anticipation and optimism through your post about your appointment with Dr. Schwartzman!!

It appears you've got everything in order! The list of questions is such an important part of the preparation...
I have often been frustrated with my brain fog self, as I walk out the door of the building of a very important appointment, finally remembering a question I had forgotten to ask!!!!

It might be a good idea to ask Dr. Schwartzman to have his report and Doctor's notes mailed directly to your home, so that you will have them for your records..(my foot doctor does this for me...)

You may also ask him for a letter or statement of his recommendations for you to have available for appeals or depositions, etc.
Let us know how it goes!!

More prayers for your Mom will be sent her way...

Hey. I hope you get some answers and directions. I am thinking of making an apt though I know the wait is so long. I shouldof made it last year when I called but was being hopeful. Are you going for possible ketamine infusions? I guess for me what ever treatment I am suggested I of course ask the side effects and then if the side effect happens what the next plan would be. I hope you have a safe trip. I am assuming you are bring all your records? I always do that and a list of what has helped and not. Of course my ? list, meds I have been on and am on. I am glad your mom did well and ihope it continues and you have a safe trip
