Im going to see an urologist,,,
Ive also for the last 2weeks after seeing the colon specialist, ive ran a heavy corurse of cipro,,Im not taking any chances,,I know an infection any where in that region especially in the prostate can kill,as fast as testicular cancer in young men,Ive had a UTI and Prostate infection before..After doing research on prudendal nerve entrapment and pelvic pain syndrome[which mimics prostatititis} also cause pain in the head of the penile and foul smelling urine..My urine smelled weird for a couple of months with no other symptoms,,I thought it could be the meds or an infection, but there was no burning when I voided..prior too this I had a red rash that was on my buttock that would come and go ,[same side as RSD hip],,then it proceded to the left buttock [upper ] and then the SI joint was inflammed for 4 weeks,,then the rash migrated to the inner thigh then a month later into the perineum,,then into the srotum, rectum, penile, and pressure resembling prosate enlargement,,,Im still on the antibiotatics until I see the DR,,,,,,Im not trying wrecklessly to wait it out, or to assume its RSd,,, But It does outwardly match everything else,on my feet and legs, and the acid burning scrotom and rectum and penile skin,is the same,,and now the spider varicose veins with the unique RSD Rash,,,,, Last edited by bobber; 03-15-2010 at 03:07 PM. |

This sounds complicated. My first impression is infection.
Also unfortunately Cipro or its cousins are well known causers of neuropathy. Since this article appeared, it has become more common. http://www.theannals.com/cgi/content...act/35/12/1540 http://www.fqresearch.org/ciprofloxacin.htm A Google search for Dr. Jay Cohen, MD and "fluroquinolone neuropathy" will bring many hits. I sure hope this is not the case for you... since this neuropathy has no cure as yet. ![]()

My PM doc told me he had a navy fighter pilot who went in for a routine hernia (I think it was) operation and incurred some nerve damage that resulted in CRPS in and around his private parts. It was very problematic in that he tried to tough it out and failed to tell anyone for 9 months or so, making treatment relatively ineffective. I can find out more specifics, if you like... |
