My Hero.
Always to stand beside me. Always to love me. Mine. My Granddaddy. My Hero. My life-line. Mine. If there is anyone who I could adore; it's him. Just wanted to pay tribute to him. To honor him. He has made me who I am. I will always be honored. He passed one year ago today. Last edited by Kakimbo; 03-18-2010 at 02:31 AM. Reason: sp |

I also was very close to my Grandfather. Him and I lived together while I was engaged to get married, for four years. We were like the odd couple.

Hi Jim.
He sounds like a wonderful man. It's always a comfort to me to reflect on my childhood with my grandfather, especially when I am low. I have two uncles buried at Arlington. One was a Major. His son was killed in Vietnam. My grandfather was a Marine, Infantry. WWII. His son is Retired Air Force. Also in Vietnam. My son plans to join the Air Force after graduation and is currently in ROTC. We are so blessed with wonderful families. We are blessed to have our Men and Women dedicate their lives to protect us. Thank you for sharing this. Kim
