I've been scheduled for a popliteal block next Wednesday for the pain in my RSD left lower limb/foot/ankle.
The original plan was to do a Bier block to the foot but there is too much edema to locate a vein in the foot to administer the lidocain.. The popliteal block is given at the back of the knee to the common peroneal nerve (I think) in order to numb the lower limb and foot. The numbness will last from 12 to 18 hours? Wouldn't it be great if this process would re-boot (no pun intended ![]() Oh well, I can dream on, it gives me hope! ![]() Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this procedure! Sending hugs ![]() Hope4thebest xo |
