No wonder we get those are you crazy looks every now and then...Looking back on today for example - left side (effected side) of body cold and sweaty yet has the burning sensation . In order to get things eased up enough to go out in the 97+ degree heat I take a "hot" soaking bath to try and calm the nerves down . Once outside the left side is still cold , sensitive to breeze , and stops sweating when it should be sweating . I dread any climate changes and hate going in/out of car , store , etc . as this just makes this stuff angry . Looking back (pre RSD) I wonder what I would have thought if someone had told me the breeze was hurting them to much and they needed to go inside (sort of hard for a man to admit the freaking wind is hurting him!) . Makes it easy to realize sometimes why we are not understood . Hope all are doing well and take care !

Hi RUready;
Funny, but are you ready is something I ask my body when I am getting ready to challenge it in some way. It is crazy how our bodies have to compensate for everything and sometimes it just does not get caught up enough to live in the moment. I always invision stick men, (it helps me laugh at my flaws), They are running all over my body trying to help each other out. When I choose to do something that I know is going to overwhelm me, I know they are saying oh crap, here she goes again, and they all start running around like idiots to try and compensate for each others area. Some days they are dripping with sweat sitting on a bench begging me to take a nap! Silly, but our bodies really work hard, some days to just do the little things. The little men that are in the pain receptor area are always begging for Help! LOL. In reality, we need to appreciate and really learn to pamper ourselves when possible. There are so many things that affect us and the end result is always pain. We can't change the rain, or the wind, the heat, the pain, people, doctors, etc., we just have to love ourselves right where we are and learn to be good to ourselves. It sounds like you have a good attitude, that is something you can control, and that is so important. Wishing you a great day! |
