Default A better med change....

I went to my PM today and I am elated to say that they FINALLY listened to me to a degree...I have been in excruciating pain for the last several days and nothing was helping. He decided to up my hydrocodone and lessen the acetamenaphin and what to you know, it works!! I have vaccumed, dusted, washed dishes and did 2 loads of laundry this evening...haven't done that much work in one evening in almost 2 years!! Hope it keeps working

He switch my pain med to Norco 10/325 from Loratab 10/500...it's funny how lowering the acetamaphin has made my pain almost go away. I have been cleaning and taking breaks in between. All I have been saying to the doctors is that please give me something to help me just take care of my home and family. I am lucky that I don't have to work, but I had to give up a job that I LOVED because of RSD.

Now I am looking around my house and it is starting to look like it used to. I don't know if it will throw me into a flare, but at this point, I don't care. I have been also saying all algong that my house was beginning to look like a frat house and in the last 24 hours it is coming back together.
Wish me luck

Good Luck Cindi!

Just don't overdo it. My house is just like yours. I got an epidural, felt great, Planted a few flowers in my garden and ended up in bed for two days. It sure does feel great to have a brief window of relief. When that happens I want to run around like a crazy person and make up for all I've lost.

Enjoy!

Kim

I'm sitting here chuckling, because only us RDSer's can understand that a little med change can make us feel normal....I am soooo thankful that I found this board a year ago or I think I would still be lying on my couch feeling sorry for myself. I have found the courage to stand up and ask the right questions and challenge my doctors with the knowledge that I have learned here..LOVE YOU ALL
