Heart Four F diet..

I have been loosely following Dr. Hoosemand's Four F diet..Fresh Fish, Fresh Fowl, Fresh Veggies and Fresh Fruits...although there are few fresh veggies I like I have been using just fruit, veggies and fish and when I do I feel great..I started it a few weeks ago and then went off because of school starting and a change in our home schedule. We are settling back into the school routine so hopefully, next week I will be back on track. Falling off the diet made me go into a horrendous flare and I am just getting over it. I know he says not to use canned fruits and veggies, but sometimes that's all I want and it seems to work for me...my favorite is canned black olives...I think that the antioxidants in them really help..that's just my opinion and with any diet you have to tweak it to make it work for you. I lost a total of 12 lbs, but have gained 5 back since not following it, so if anything it help me lose weight!

My wife Suzy follows a similar diet. She's a little weak with the coffee however. She's in pain now and can only think it could be her afternoon cup of Java. I love olives and will sit down and devour whole cans of black olives and have for years. Near us we have the luxury of stores stocking olives from around the world of all breeds, shape and size. Love'm all. I love premium virgin olive oil too.

I truly think that eating Mediterranean food absolutely have healing properties. It's all so wholesome and is very heart healthy. I have just been eating the things that I like as far as fruits and veggies and eating a lot of flounder and tilapia with lemon juice and a little Old Bay...I am learning to use No Salt and Mrs. Dash...it's really been a whole life change, but I am never hungry and if I do get hungry in between meals, I eat cucumbers and hummus, which I make myself.
