Hope the best for you. Seeing a good eye doc, perhaps would be good, and an appropriate eye drop? Please keep in touch and let us know if you find an answer. your friend, loretta ![]() |

I've had the same problem off and on for years. A few back it was thought that I had Lupus and a rheumatologist checked me for that and Sjogren's syndrome. I had a mildly positive for Lupus but it turned out I have discoid lupus, not systemic tho that can cause the dry eyes. I have also heard from others that RSD can cause dry eyes and many of the meds used to treat it can as well. I would check with your Dr to be on the safe side tho. For relief - I use eye drops or place a cool, wet washcloth over them and rest for a bit. |

I have severe dry eyes but also severe eye pain. I have been to 10 eye specialists about 50 apts, neurologists for mris, rheumatologist, allergist etc. The cause of why I am in crying pain at times they don't know and why it may be rsd in the eyes.
Now for some certain meds can cause dry eye. Do you have pain too? Do you wear contacts? Do you have any eye issues like blepheritis? I do and which I think caused the dry eye. I use preservative free eye drops. |

![]() I was browsing for a new heating pad and found this eye patch which is specifically meant to soothe dry eyes! The link should work but if it doesn't for any reason, just PM me. http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/sh...new_crumb=true |

Hi.
I also have dry eyes. I've been told that I can't wear contacts ever again - only to get to the point where I can. Here are some of the things that I do: Humidifier running - close to you if possible during the day Use "Blink Tears" often during the day Use "Blink Gel Tears" at night. This is a thicker substance and stays in your eyes longer. Don't have a ceiling fan running at night. Don't have an open window right by you at night. At night, your eyes aren't totally shut when you sleep. So, having a humidifier in your bedroom will really help along with no ceiling fan or open window. Also, I do the Blink Tears before I go to bed. I don't wear contacts every day. I wear them 3-4 times a week - not on weekends. I have glasses that I wear when I can. I hope this helps. |
