I have filed written responses to inaccurate doc reports with both the doctor's office and my attorney. In one instance, I filed a complaint with the Board of Health in my state because a report was so inaccurate and the PM doc actually had the nerve to say that my pain was all in my head - even though he wrote me a script for methadone!! That was during a terrible time for me, when my RSD had just started to spread into the occipital area of my head and I was a total mess!! I was really concerned that the report was going to invalidate my WC claim when I was getting sicker every day.
During the last year the quarterly newsletter of the RSDSA had an awesome column on WC issues and I believe that this issue in particular may have been discussed. You may want to check out thier website to see if back articles are archived. I am almost certain that the author discusses how she had one doctor's license revoked in her state for shoddy reporting. Good luck to you. XOXOX Sandy Quote:

RN, Make the corrections on the report, notations on how the doctor treated you, questions that he asked and your replies and any other information that took place during the exam. Make a copy of this and give one to your attorney. You may also need to give a copy to your doctor so that he can prepare a rebuttal. So sorry to hear that you are in the WC system. This disease is bad enough without having the stress of WC. I have been in that wonderful system for over eight years now and it no fun.

I've seen this more then once. Not just with WC. It's happened on my files several times with Drs. I've seen. It's hard for us because then we know the truth but can't prove what they said to us.
When my husband went to a Dr. for his back for WC. The Dr. actually said he didn't see Bill. Strange that you see a Dr. and he has no file and says he didn't see you. I would do as others said and write what he told you down for your lawyer so your side can be presented. Ada |
