hello Jack
the system automatically logs you out if it senses inactivity after 30 min. This is the default on many websites as it protects member's accounts in case they are on a public computer and forget to log out. To avoid losing any replies, and when on a "safe" personal computer, you can set the default to "remember me" when you log in, which means you will not be logged out until you actively click the log out button
