Default Guess Who????

Howdy all. It's Mark! Well here I am attempting miserably to dig myself out of my hell. It has been a while (before Christmas) since I spoke to most of you. I am slowly coming back around and I need to get with the program. I am no longer ATallOne - so I am now using this new name. I thinks it fits. I have missed you all tremendously and have thought of you often. But when my bedroom became my sanctuary for so long I really hadn't seen the light of day for a while. Now with everything else I have had to deal with in my life I just find out two weeks ago I am now in the early stages of Parkinson's Disease. Of course, why now? I'm like velcro these days. Throw it at me and if it sticks well than I have it. So I just add it to the list of - hmmmm lets see now - RSD/CRPS, Restless Leg Syndrome, Peripheral Neuropathy, MS, and now Parkinson's. Oh and I am in the middle of a wonderful case of shingles. On my back in the same spot as last year. So I guess this is going to be a annual thing. Yeaaaa!!!!!

For those of you who know I am moving I have not yet. It has been too cold and I have been bed bound. But will be doing so when it warms up soon I hope. I just got shot down on my second round for disability (that's with a attorney). So now they have to drag my dead ***** in front of a judge so he can check my pulse. God I hope I don't get the same one that's keeping Anna Nicole Smith's body on ice or I'll look like hell. Seems a new Legislative Ruling went into effect last August changing the program considerably and just about the only folks getting it now right off the bat are widows/widowers and specal cases. I feel I'm pretty special. I was always told I was special growing up!

Well That's about it for now. I will chat more when I can. Won't be as often as it used to but I will do my very best. Miss you all. I sure do wish I could meet you all someday. It would be the bomb. Chin Up!!!!

Mark

Default Hi Mark,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time of it. My Mom and Dad both had Parkinsons'. Mom had it earlier in life then Dad got it.

I have told several on here before the way I got my disability is getting a State Rep involved. I sent him a letter explaining my situation of and a copy of my files which I know he didn't read them all but he sent me a letter saying it would be sent to SS and I would here something soon It took me one week from his letter to get my ok on it. You might want to try this.

As far as widows benefits, it hasn't been easy for me. It's took 3 months to get my mess straightened up and I won't know until Feb if it is straightened up or not. They said that the computer had messed it up. Well someone has to run those computers.

I hope you can stick around and get out of the room. I know that feeling also. I have been living in one room of my house. Since Bill passed away I have gotten even worse. It must be what we go through with the illnesses we have. I have tried to figure out which one is causing what and I can't do it. When you have so many and the symptoms overlap then it's nearly impossible.

Hope you start seeing some better days.

Ada

Yes!!! you are very special and don't forget it..
try the best not to get a blind judge...this crazy world doesn't make any sense anymore....seems like the muck always gets in the way.... wishing you the very best....linda

Default Soo Right!!!

Ada, you and Linda have sound advice there. Unfortunately I live in the worst Democratic, corrupt, political back stabbing, finger pointing, Near Do Well Yankee Good Ole Boy State on the East Coast. I could try but I seriously doubt they would much give someone like me the time of day. I mean after all I'm not a illegal alien. But than again you never know. Stranger things have happened. I look like a alien though don't I?

Well thanks again for your thoughts. And it is so good to be able to chat again for a bit. I hope it last for a while. Take care of yourselves. Chin Up!

Mark
