I was on Pamidronate. My doctor followed the trial protocol. It did nothing for me other than having to deal with some nasty side effects.
Pamidronate is the generic name for Aredia and is used for Cancer patients. www.pamidronate.com The last link you gave was from 2005... The actual report was from 2004: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15367305 I'm with Jimking... if it's that old, I'm afraid it's most likely not useful. I'm afraid with RSD... it's all hit or miss... no two people are alike and what works for one may or may not work for another. I would suggest you discuss this medicine/treatment with your doctor.
