Default Blocks and Triglycerides

My cardiologist just ran a blood panel on me and saw my triglycerides have tripled from August of last year. The Chol/HDL Ratio went up as well. They lectured me about eating right, maintaining a good weight, about not drinking alcohol and to exercise. Told them I eat right, don't drink alcohol and in the last year, lost 20 lbs. And also that exercise is a little hard now due to my 'chronic pain condition'. Okay, they said, it must be hereditary. What? I thought maybe the hormones I was taking was increasing the triglycerides.

I just saw my PCP and she reviewed with me every blood result the cardiologist ran. She knows I get a lot of pain blocks. She figured that some of the injections I get contain steroids and steroids, besides hormones, can increase the triglycerides. I didn't know that. I'm glad someone bothered to look at the whole picture.
