so far as i understand the therapy is to inject some kind of suger solution in the affected area, and thereby causing an inflammation which should restart the healing process and bringing it to an end rsd was first called "heilsentzündung" by Dr. Sudeck, which in english means healinginflammation, so the theory is interessting but the webpage to me seems not seriouse enough i´ve just looked up if there are any studies on prolotherapy and rsd, and there are non, but prolotherapy seems to have shown to be effective in ow back pain, several tendinopathies, and osteoarthritis xxx leiea |

Well here is the response I received:
Dear Dee, Thanks for your question. So sorry to hear that you are suffering with RSD. That is a very tough diagnosis. The good news is that we have had a lot of experience with RSD patients. I don't know if you have had a chance to look over our website, but here is some info from our website(s) including an article that was published in the Journal of Prolotherapy: Dr. Hauser discussing his experience and passion for treating patients with RSD: https://www.caringmedical.com/video_library.asp More articles: https://www.caringmedical.com/media_...log_radio.htm; article published in the Journal of Prolotherapy on RSD: http://www.prolotherapy.org/prolothe...s-introduction Prolotherapy stimulates the body to heal. Dr. Hauser feels that RSD patients have injured ligaments and/or tendons that have not healed. The only way to correct these is to stimulate the body to heal them. Our base Prolotherapy solution is made of dextrose, sarapin (extract of the pitcher plant), procaine, and sterile water. Sometimes other additives are used based on the patient's diagnosis and injuries, but that it determined during the visit with Dr. Hauser. Dr. Hauser has been interested in RSD since his medical training and it is a personal passion of his - thus we have treated many RSD patients. We look at the whole patient and sometimes there are other factors involved and Dr. Hauser tries to address all factors involved in healing including diet, hormone levels, exercise etc. If you are interested in making an appointment, we would be happy to set one up for you. Please phone us at 708-848-7789 or email us at scheduling@caringmedical.com. All the best of health to you! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well I didnt get the answer to one of my questions, the fact that this treatment hurts, but maybe I need to go do more reading on the links they provided. I think I will just stay with the ketamine infusions, they are what have helped me most but I do thank you for posting the info, Im always looking ![]() Dee

Did anyone try this for RSD? It seems quite risky and doesn't seem to be specific for our condition. Thanks for your replies.

I don't know I just visited this site and others to find out what the treatment really was. and all I can say is .. my red flag alarm is going off. they use the term RSD .. and they haven't posted a true understanding of the issue. they say that RSD is mainly started into the feet and ankle(well for me .. true) but so many others not so much. and they state it is caused by unresolved ligament and or tendon damage . what of those that never had that they just got I don't know hit by a base ball then all of a sudden RSD.. I am not sold.. like I said too many red flags go off plus they say they have the cure.. ???? if this is true why do we not hear more of this treatment that has been around for sooooo long. I would have figured more of us would have heard of it.. Thank you for posting the link. I am not sold but I will defiantly do more research to see if my red flags are off. anything that might work is defiantly worth researching..

Thanks for your insight. I agree, there is too much uncertainty with this procedure. Bottom line is; no one knows what causes CRPS so how could anyone possibly know what would cure it?
